    I like a sausage

Asda price on Black Farmer sausages is £2.50 for six but you can buy 2 packs for £4.00. Lidl also do a low carb sausage but I find them too salty for me, much prefer the Black Farmer ones. Havn't made scotch eggs for donkey's years, 20 years on low fat, but those look really good so I might...

How long have you been Type 2?

I was diagnosed type 2 in November 2004 but now that I am aware of the symptoms, I know that it had been going on for at least 10 years previously. So far, so good, am on 2mg SR metformin a day and have cut out all carbs apart from what it is in the leafy greens, salads etc. Last three hba1c...

Paul, I've had ME/CFS for 15 years and the diabetes diagnosis was a real blow to me 8 years ago so I know where you're coming from. I too have thought that maybe there had been a diagnostic mistake but have found the ME symptoms are different. For the spasms in your legs (arms as well in my...

    Itchy Scalp

I have the same problem, for forty years, and used to be given nizoral by the gp. Then I changed, on hairdresser's advice, to the 'Aussie' range as it is gentler. Now I just add about 10 drops of tea tree oil to the bottle of shampoo when I first open it and give it a good shake. This has...

    "lower carb potatoes"? Celeriac!!

I enjoy my celeriac roasties. I par boil them first then into a very hot tin of dripping with a raw quartered onion. Cook for an hour, basting often, for about an hour. The onion is usally nearly black by now. Scrumptious. Not a roast potato but I find a most acceptable alternative.
