Type 1 with lower bg at 5.3 just before bed.

Once you get the hang of the fast acting you may find you need less of the basal to keep you steady? I try to have my BG at around 6 before I go to sleep and if need be I eat a biscuit around 10 or 11 to push it up a bit

Hypo - Lost all feeling in my right side

Definitely keep your hypo treatments with you at all times, I keep a bag of sweets in my bag which is in easy reach at night. But also do go see your GP just in case it wasn't the hypo that reduced sensation on one side because there are 9ther things that could cause that loss of sensation

Not even diagnosed but tingly/numb feet - really worried

    Yes, I've been prescribed 1mg a day, 1000mg sounds a lot?

Not even diagnosed but tingly/numb feet - really worried

I agree with this. I have just had my latest bloods back and B12 has gone from being at the bottom of normal to below the lowest number they measure. I am going to ask for a test for pernicious anaemia as I have family history of that, luckily I dont have many symptoms apart from lethargy, bit...

Terrible pains in leg and arm muscles

Have you had your inflammatory markers rechecked since the first high ones? Might be worth you asking to get these rechecked as there are some conditions that can cause those pains?

44 years T1 and still making mistakes

I've only been diagnosed with LADA since January but made a boo boo today. Went out for a barbecue, lovely jug of Pimms on the table. I had checked the Pimms on my carb app already so knew it was OK. The one thing I didn't even consider was whether the host had added lemonade or set lemonade to...

Newbie - Excuse the endless Blurb

It's a bit of a nightmare getting on the courses. I'm not sure if it's the same for the type 2 courses but I have to wait nearly a year for the DAFNE course. It's a long wait but could be different in your area.

Not even diagnosed but tingly/numb feet - really worried

Personally I would wait for the results of the tests and see what the Dr has to say before you worry. Lots of things can cause tingly feet. You might not even be diabetic?

    Libre (in)accuracy on HBA1C

Might be as simple as the two months before libre you were running higher and having the libre has helped you get better sugars? I've had my libre since January and due for testing next month so will see how accurate it is. It's currently telling me 50

Shoulder pain using FreeStyle Libre 2

No actual pain, sometimes a bit more uncomfortable. Now I flex my arm, look in the mirror and aim the centre of the Libre in the channel between the deltoid and triceps. That works well for me, and I've not had bleeding or discomfort since. I'm not sure if that would work if your arms are well...

    Time in range

As high as I can, anything above 70% is recommended I think. Mines normally around 80-85 and I'm happy with that

    Waterproof Plasters Guardian Sensor

Have you looked at a website called typeonestyle? Not sure if they will have the right patches but they do a whole range for different sensors. I also have massively sensitive skin and these are the only ones I've found that stick well, stay on and most importantly don't irritate my skin. They...

Leg Cramps - What do people do to prevent or treat these

It's great stuff isn't it! I don't have cramps to try it out on but has been so good for restless legs and my daughters shoulder. I don't have painful joints either but will definitely try it if I do get some one day!

Leg Cramps - What do people do to prevent or treat these

I use Better You Magnesium Muscle Spray it is actually amazing. I don't get leg cramps but my legs are always restless in bed, but not with this. My daughter has a problem with her shoulder atm, but the pain goes away with this amazing spray. I found ut in home bargains last week 4.99 instead of...

    Numb 3 fingers

Carpal tunnel affects the 1st-3rd fingers and the inside of your 4th finger. I would speak to your docs, they can investigate to put your mind at rest and find out what it is.

    Libre 2 not registering hypos

I've just had a look at my graphs I've had 3x hypos the last week all when I'm sleeping and all have registered. The shortest one was an hour, the longest 2 hours. I've had other mini hypos during the day, less than half an hour, maybe 15 mins toll I've fixed it, and they don't show up on the...

    Does it sound like diabetes?

Your best bet is to try and get in touch with the GP again and ask for an HbA1C. Use e-consult or Klinik, far easier than waiting on the phone, and request a blood test that way

    Wrongly diagnosed?

It's not a diagnosis its an observation. In the GP record it will be noted that you had 'non diabetic hyoerglycaemia' but you wouldn't be diagnosed with anything unless you reach diabetes HbA1C which isn't a given. If you're concerned your result is inaccurate, which is quite unlikely, you can...

    I'm an idiot

You're not an idiot at all. If you're pre diabetic you've got a chance to turn things around but first you need to see exactly what those cakes are doing to your blood sugar before you can begin to understand what you need to do. I believe you can get a free trial libre 2 so this would be good...
