    Ah, thanks. So the hbac1 test the doctor has me do at the blood clinic is a different test to the daily blood sugar meter readings, hence the difference in numbers?

    I think I understand the difference between hbac1 and daily blood sugar. What I don't understand is how my hbac1 is 49 but readings from a meter are single digits. Is it because they are different things or just using different units of measurement?

    Thanks Jeremy. I've ordered the Tee2 which is free. Will see how I get on. Will be no problem to switch for another as no upfront investment in the tee2. Having said that, I am Gadget Man so no doubt I'll be buying other stuff.....
