Symptoms when blood sugar returns from high to normal

I had no noticeable symptoms upon diagnosis. Quickly dropped my blood sugar back to normal levels with LCHF diet. I had some blurry vision for about a week to ten days as levels dropped. That all corrected. The strange one for me was foot pain starting about 6 weeks after diagnosis. I...

Numb fingers on wakening up in the mornings

I do. Just like you, I sometimes wake up with one hand numb and rarely both. It goes away when I change positions. Probably just the way you have your wrist bent when you sleep.

    Neuropathy

My pain in my feet started 6 weeks AFTER lowering my blood sugar levels to normal levels. Didn't have pain at diagnosis. It's like my feet are actually overly sensitive. It's been 20 months. Progress has been slow, but I feel like I am a little better each month.

Anyone here recover from burning feet and/or hands?

BaliRob Sorry to hear you are still struggling with this. I too am still looking for answers. I have had the burning in my feet for 18 months now. It varies in intensity. Some days/nights are bad. Other times I hardly notice it. I fell off the low carb wagon this holiday season. I plan...

    Pins and needles

It's hard to say. Is it in both feet? For me, I had a burning pain in both feet that came on pretty much overnight AFTER lowering my blood sugar to normal range about 6 weeks following diagnosis. 18 months later, and it still bothers me. It varies in intensity. I never had the numbness, or...

Not understanding why some use Insulin with T2D IR

My point is still valid. I know some T2s that aren't willing to change their diet. You, however, aren't one of them. Neither am I. In fact, most here don't fit that category since most here are indeed making changes and doing their best.

Not understanding why some use Insulin with T2D IR

Two reasons would be my guess. Some T2s aren't willing to change their diet.....therefore they need more insulin to bring blood sugar numbers down. Second reason would be even though T2 and insulin resistant, perhaps they have been diabetic for a long time and their pancreas doesn't produce...

    Insulin neuritis

Bringing up an old thread. My feet gradually got better over the course of about 16 months. This week, it has flared back up for some reason. The only thing I can think of that is different is I started taking CBD oil about two weeks ago. Could it have an opposite effect? Anyway, its been a...

    Dawn phenomenon

Amazing results!! Its been 18 months for me since diagnosis. Normal A1C levels for 15 months now. Despite that, my morning fasting glucose is still a little higher than I would like. My mid afternoon fasting number (right before dinner) is almost always lower than morning fasting number.

    Any suggestions for burning feet?

Glad to hear you got better. Mine has been a roller coaster. Seems like I am getting better, and then something triggers it. Blood sugar has stayed pretty stable.

    Any suggestions for burning feet?

I was diagnosed about 18 months ago. No noticeable symptoms at diagnosis. Went low carb and quickly lowered my numbers into a non-diabetic A1C range within a few months. About 6 weeks in to it, I had an acute onset of burning type pain in my feet. It just showed up one day. No numbness...
