I have been a type 2 for several years but my sugars were slowly creeping up. I decided to try eating the Low Carb High Fat lifestyle since mid Feb and my sugars are slowly coming down.
This is only one approach...
Bacon, egg & mushrooms
Smoked salmon, boiled egg, avocado, black olives, mushrooms and mayo
Lidl meatballs, Brussels and leeks in cream followed by four raspberries, Greek yog and cream plus a glass of wine
No problems with BG after this so ok for a packed lunch if necessary :-)

I basically chucked my courgetti in the wok with some butter for about 30 seconds and then served it - it's probably OK with a thickish sauce but otherwise definitely on the watery side

Slight change of plan - had 1oz of macadamia nuts so 4 g carbs (thankfully hubby is good with figures to have worked that out!) 0.2 rise after two hours so must have just been one of those things yesterday.
