    Thought id update my news... Saw the specialist nurse today who showed me the basic results of gad test. Less than 5 which is negative. She explained that this is a basic diagnoses of type 2 and that I'm mostly likely mody. But, I'm seeing a (consultant?) who will have much more detailed results...

    Hornplayer the thing to try to remember( as last post said) its not a diet it's a lifestyle change. You need to be able to adjust you're eating and maintain that style for the rest of your life.... Soups and shakes diets aren't really for the likes of us. Have u considered a weight loss group...

    Hi I'm on sr metformin. My nurse told me that as my bloods were 7-9 (my tests). She told me to up tablets (500mgeach) from 2 to a max of 4 until my pre-meal numbers are less than 6. The problem I have now is that mornings are always 7+ but by eve meal in Theyre -6. I'm taking 3 tabs atm with eve...

    Feeling ill and wondering why?

    I've had similar today kristeen.. My metformin has been increased this week...Usually my bs is around 7-9 . About an hour ago i started feeling shaky sweaty et. So tested. My bloods are 6.3. Obviously not low, but my body is apparently adjusting to new levels... Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Travelling with Type 1

    Have a look at these on their website 'frio' pouch. You can buy from amazon and other uk sites. Apparently they stay cool for ages and don't need refrigerating, only soaking in water to re-activate the cooling system .. Hope that's of use ... Have a great trip ;-) Sent from the Diabetes...
