Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.2 at 0700hrs (guess yesterday was a fluke) after a restless, tropical-like night.

WOW [emoji50]! I was 5.4 at 0600hrs (checked it twice since I couldn’t believe it). Maybe the new insulin pen I started last night is more potent [emoji1360]

I like everyone with similar numbers to mine. For those with lower numbers, the green eyed monster comes to the fore [emoji15][emoji23] and I’m left thinking ‘how do they manage that?’

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.3 at 0530hrs - maybe it would have been lower if I hadn’t got stressed out after dogs thought 0415hrs was an appropriate time to wake me up today. The air turned blue!!!

6.2 at 0600hrs. That’s gone down - wish my weight would too.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Up to 6.8 at 0615hrs - but neighbour invited me out to dinner last night and we both ‘indulged‘. The lemon sorbet in Hugo was perfect ending to meal (I know I shouldn’t [emoji39])

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.3 at 0525hrs (down from 12.9 at bedtime - couldn’t resist baking gammon/cheese croissants for tea last night.)

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Down to 6.4 at 0515hrs today. Maybe I should indulge more often in a late night G & OJ (ran out of T). Enjoy your day - another hot one here.

Yet another 7.2 at 0515hrs. What am I doing wrong?

As feared, following yesterday’s tennis ‘nibble’ binge, I was 7.8 at 0525hrs. Glad Wimbledon is over for another year.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.4 at 0530hrs. Already have a bad feeling about tomorrow as watching tennis makes me nibble & eat everything I shouldn’t. Lack of willpower - my bad.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

7.3 at 0800hrs. Not particularly surprised considering the rather large G & T and accompanying nibbles I was ‘forced’ to consume when watching last night’s marathon tennis match. [emoji6]

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

7 at 0530hrs (was 6.9 at bedtime hmmm). Hoping for a day with NO more football ‘post mortems’ (enough already) but might watch some Wimbledon.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

7.3 at 0815hrs (up again and after ‚yet another’ very restless night). I’m now going horizontal on the sofa following my short dog walk.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

7.2 at 0800hrs - that’s what happens when a neighbour celebrates retirement and throws a party with lots of Prosecco [emoji898]. I couldn’t say ‘no’, now could I??

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.7 at 0515. Possibly stress related since my dog had a second stroke last night (I’m always looking for excuses). He’s a wee bit better today.

    Metformin increase and ongoing diarrhoea

I was on Metformin 1000mg twice daily, plus Lantus at bedtime and had explosive bursts of diarrhoea (picture that when you’re out walking the dogs [emoji33]). Changed to Galvus 50mg twice daily plus Lantus and I ended up with chronic headaches and was in a zombie-like state. Discussed with my...
