    Type 1: Work related stress

I am on a pump and I have a different basal pattern for when I am at work for me I need less insulin at work that I do when I am at home (with one exception, during exam times we're crazy busy, so my insulin needs go up during those two weeks cos of the stress) so mayb u do need different doses...

Please read before choosing a pump!

We can only get the Medtronic 640g here sometimes one of the Roche ones. I would love a tubeless pump but 11 years later I'm still on a pump with tubes the funding doesn't exist for tubeless ones unfortunately.

    Accuracy of Enlite sensor.

I've been using the enlite sensor for the last 6 years and occasionally I would have a wildly different reading on my glucometer compared to what the sensor was saying but usually the sensor was faulty and had to be changed. Nowadays the sensor is rarely out compared to my glucometer.

Do you still remember your dka?

well my last one was last November after a cannula failed overnight and the resulting lack of insulin and high blood sugars didn't wake me. Severe vomiting and 24hrs in hospital and I was back to normal. As this wasn't my first DKA I knew what to expect but it frightened the hell out of my...

Rising Bg's -- 2.5 Days Out Of 3 On A Omnipod Pump Pod

Not an omnipod user (remember serious pump envy here) but I nearly always have a bump after I remove a cannula and sometimes the adhesive leaves red marks. The occasional one will get itchy afterwards and I just think I'm a little bit sensitive to the adhesive and the bump is where its pressed...

Cgm - Great Idea, But Rip/fall-off In Reality

I live in Ireland and the only CGM available to us is the Enlite from Medtronic I use one with the 640g. A few years back they were thinking of stopping them altogether due to cost I know I had to fight long and hard to get mine but now they are offered as standard when upgrading your pump. I'd...
