What's the biggest glucose spike you've had?

22.9 was my highest meter reading soon after diagnosis, I learn't that a full Easter roast lunch followed by apple crumble and custard and washed down with cider probably wasn't the future!

T2 Bg Reading Of 4 Or Below

Thanks @Resurgam kind of you to point that out, checked with DNS and the leaflet when first started taking Metformin and problems can occur with 'excess drinking' rather than the odd social drink or two so doesn't concern me. I appreciate your advice though.

T2 Bg Reading Of 4 Or Below

Hi all, as a T2 on Metformin and a Low Carb diet should I see BG testing below 4mmol? I have recently had a reading of 4.1mmol which I know is great and and very pleased about having been in the high teens at diagnosis in March this year (and once a belting 22.9mmol after a substantial Easter...

    Leaving The Forum

Sorry you are looking to leave, it's been refreshing to hear someone feel (as I do) that the mostly blanket criticism of HCPs on here doesn't sit quite right

Not a case of meek and mild it's a case of effective communication, shouting a mantra in peoples faces may not work where positive selling of benefits does. I guess its a case of different strokes for different folks but the goal is a shared one.

Ok @bulkbiker I just think the positive message of Low Carb goes further without the negative confrontational approach to HCPs and others who wish to try different methods but that's just my view.

Nicely put @britishpub exactly mirroring the behaviour they accuse HCPs of
