When to apply a correction dose?

Thanks for the advice @tim2000s Haven't been given the test you mentioned. Never even heard of it so I will defiantly be asking for it! Thankfully since starting insulin I have managed to get my levels pretty much normal. Amazing how much better you feel with healthy readings!

    1st appointment

You will get used to doing the finger pricks. When I was diagnosed 2 years ago I was the same. Miserable, dreading eating and dreading the finger pricks. Doesn't phase me anymore. Things will get better! :)

When to apply a correction dose?

Hey everyone. I was wondering how long after taking your dinnertime novorapid should I take a small correction dose if my sugars are still slightly high? Just started on insulin on Friday so I'm on small doses. I had my dinner at 8.40 this evening and took 4u novorapid and ,1000mg metformin...

    Tablets working?

Personally I had no luck with metformin and gliclazide so was moved over to insulin. It will most likely be a dietary issue but not always. My diet was great. Just didn't respond to the medication.

I have never had one before. This is the lowest I have ever been ( 5.4 mmol). Worried that I won't realise if I do go...
