I get really tired and sleepy mid afternoon. Usually 1-2 hours after eating :roll: Not sure yet what my BG levels are after eating. Will start checking them when I get more BG testing strips.

So back to finger pricking :mrgreen: are all fingers prickers the same? I have about 3-4 meters, 2 Accu check and one Freestyle Lite. I have another one hidden somewhere :lol: But just wondering if some prickers are better than others. Only just started pricking, so no sore fingers as of yet...

Hi Paula, I was diagnosed T2 about 2 years ago. I take 3 X 500mg Metformin a day. I found that I too got an upset tum, not good when you have IBS. Maybe you should cut back on the amount of tabs you take for the first week. This will allow your system to get used to the meds. Then gradually...

I only got 10 strips in the BG meter that I purchased. So sadly I have resorted to Ebay to buy more strips :( Strips were half the price than they are in Boots. We shouldn't have to do this, should we? I will continue to do at least a morning fasting test to see what effect the new meds have on...

Firstly well done on the weight loss :D t seems to me that the diet that the dietician has recommended is a healthy eating diet for the average Joe Bloggs not for a diabetic. Do what works for you :mrgreen:

Re: Sitalgliptin I'm a type 2 diabetic and my GP has just prescribed this medication for me. My BG went up from 7.0 to 7.6 over the Christmas period :roll: I take 500mg of Metformin 3X day. Just wondering if anyone has had any success with Sitalgliptin. Off to pick up my script.
