    Best cook books

I would go for the Internet approach. There are rarely more than one or two recipes in each book that you would make regularly. In an attempt to be different from other books the authors tend to go for complex with lots of ingredients, to seem like a chef rather than a home cook.

    Beginner woes setting up Tee2+

I am far from being a technophobe but I never bothered with connecting my TEE2 to my phone. In the early days when I did a lot of testing, I made a simple spreadsheet to record results alongside the food I'd had. Cost of shopping

Food prices in general have increased a lot. Supermarkets have not felt the need to encourage shoppers with low prices and special offers when they have customers desperate to get delivery slots. Lettuce only diet

Lettuce has about 150 Calories per kg. To eat a reduced Calorie diet of say 1500 Cals would mean eating 10kg of lettuce per day, a challenge even for a rabbit. That's assuming the suggestion was serious which I doubt.

    Chip shop chips

I agree. I thought perhaps you had some evidence that a short term spike, caused by say the OP's chips, might cause some damage on its own rather than just contributing to an overall level.

    Chaffles

Omlettes are much nicer and simple to make with just an ordinary pan.

Thread for screen shots of LibreLink readings?

I don't have the complexity of insulin to contend with, I just need to keep an eye on my diet so it's not a fair comparison.
