I'd be inclined to contact the diabetes departments of neighbouring hospitals, to see if you could get a pump by moving your care to them. At least you'd know you'd done all you could.

I thought I was the only one having problems, especially as there were quite a few new posts once I finally managed to get on again.

For cleaning the area where a sensor or cannula is going. I don't use it prior to injections.

I've always loved the smell of insulin. Am not so keen on alcohol swabs - I think it's the association of being called into the treatment room at the hospital when I was about 10 for injections or blood tests.

Have you tried applying a Tegaderm patch without a sensor on top, to check she's not slightly allergic to it as well. I start getting a reaction to Tegaderm after a few hours, which is why I'm asking.

Please can anyone recommend a website for slippers and shoes that are deep enough to accommodate slight hammer toes, but aren't wide fitting. They also need to be slip on. I seem to draw a blank everywhere with only needing a normal width fitting. Even the podiatrist is stuck.
