Hi. I had my 3rd eye test for the above (been diabetic 3 years) - received my letter this morning and not the normal standard you are ok letter but the above. I have only been diabetic for 3 years; does this happen this quickly? My last A1c was 45 6.3%. I am very worried. X.

Absolutely well done. This was me. I was diagnosed 2 years ago, did so well, lost 3 stone my a1c down to 37! Then yep lockdown hit. I’m now doing it all over again and hopefully this time will b a way of life. Well done to you. I think bp may come down as you lose more weight. But b****y well...

I’m sure your doctor will do the a1c blood test regularly at first which will show him how your bloods are behaving in the last 3 months - so he will adjust your medication accordingly. Xxx.
