    Cold feet

I've alleviate the problem somewhat by switching socks, from normal cotton ones to these: http://www.marksandspencer.com/Pairs-He ... B0096GK8II I bit pricey, but they do make a noticeable difference while still looking and feeling like normal socks instead of bulky things.

    Cold feet

No, I'm not talking about changing my mind about getting married - I literally am suffering from cold feet. My feet seem to get cold very easily, and even in bed under a warm duvet can take a couple of hours to warm up. Does anyone else get this, or have any advice? Right now I'm sitting at...

    Jelly Babies or Jelly Beans?

I appreciate I'm not giving any supporting evidence for it, other than that I've heard it a few times, but can you cite any sources for it being a myth? Isn't the reason hypogel is given around the gums for precisely this reason?

    Jelly Babies or Jelly Beans?

I tend to use the glucotabs rather than the dextrose brand, and I find them less chalky, and more resilient to being in a coat pocket for weeks. When I have used sweets, I've found pez to be quite effective. A single-wrapped packet that would go in a dispenser works well for me. Another...

    Exercise and eating

I find a "lite" sports nutrition drink - such as lucozade lite, during the routine, keeps my sugars pretty stable. A 500ml bottle has about 10g of glucose in it.

    Sweaty Dia-betty!

Goodness - I assumed I was just weird, or working harder than everyone else at the gym! Your symptoms match mine perfectly. I've heard it's healthy to sweat, but I do seem to be prone to it a lot more than most people. If it's diabetes-related, that might explain it. Not sure how to fix it...

    Low carb for a T1?

Thanks for all your responses. To clarify: There are several reasons behind the veganism, and it's not going to stop anytime soon, unless there are some extremely clearly proven health problems with it. Etty, I agree with your theory from a morality point of view, but there's no way I'm...

Type 1's What is your BG in the morning?

I aim for 6-8 in the morning. I hate night-time hypos, and would rather be on the safe side without being too high. I'm slightly unusual in that I take my Lantus in the morning (about 7-8am), rather than at night. I found that helps keep a more normal profile overnight for me, and it works...

How many carbohydrates do you consume per day ?

Given that >130g is the most popular category, should this be rerun with some higher categories for more useful data? I can eat 130g in one meal!

    Low carb for a T1?

Hi all, I've been Type 1 for 15 years, now in my 30s. I've always had 'ok' control - mostly due to not paying enough attention more than any endemic problem with management. I'm reasonably fit and healthy, but my Hba1c is higher than I'd like at 8.1 (down from 8.9 last time). At the...
