    What do I ask?

The hospital, I'm not sure of but the diabetes clinic I go to is. I have half unit pens for both as I take quite small amounts. I've got to see the dsn in six weeks and he said to stick with them and if they felt I needed to see him again they'd arrange it. I'm not sure who I see about the...

    What do I ask?

Sorry crossed messages. I've got to reduce Lantus by 1 unit at night. He said ratios may need tweaking. And go to bed at higher levels. He saw my diet and asked where the carbs were. Quite frustrated at the mo x

    What do I ask?

Possibly. He said I'm very insulin sensitive. He also mentioned Levemir instead of Lantus but said not yet. No answers on what else is wrong with me yet. Gastro appointment in November. I just want some answers. X

New device for detecting autonomic neuropathy.

There's a suspicion I have AN, or peripheral or gastoparesis. They are ruling out everything else first I think. Optician says my eyes are ok but they are definitely more sensitive to light. Also waiting for an endoscopy. :/

    High Blood Sugar

Just a thought but I have to inject 15 minutes before I eat so the insulin has a chance to get in. Otherwise I go really high x

    Flu Vaccinations 'soon'

Mine is w/c 29th September. I have had it every year, for 19 yrs. I did get flu 3 yrs ago in February. I've never been so ill. I'm guessing a different strain to the jab? But I'll still have it, sore arm sometimes but not too bad x

    What do I ask?

Ok so I'm seeing my new consultant again in two weeks, last time I saw him, four weeks ago I forgot to ask about the pump. That was the reason I originally was supposed to see him! Doh! But due to possible complications there was no actual discussion of my control etc just symptoms. So how do I...

How many times do you happen hypoglicemia a week?

Bloody loads but I'm back at work after six weeks off so I need to adjust a bit I think. Doctor thinks HBA1C is too low and one dsn said at that level with possible onset of complications it's a higher risk of mortality. Another dsn said that at that level I'm minimising the risk of complications :/

I've been low carbing since November. My levels have gone from 7.5 to 5.7 and I've lost three stone. I'm not really missing the carby stuff x

    What foods do u miss

Well I wasn't really missing anything until I went to Lidl earlier and they gave their bacon frazzle type crisps for 34 p, the big bags. I nearly succumbed and had to look the other way. Ridiculous really. But a year ago is have eaten the whole bag without a thought. X

GP surgery repeat prescriptions - behind the times!

Mine has a date that you can order it on. So it might be once a month and if it's before you can't tick that item. But you can then add it in the notes section at the bottom. X

    Autonomic neuropathy?

Thanks guys. I also assumed the consultant was the best place to start. At the moment my symptoms are erratic and mild, he has requested a referral and is doing lots of other checks. I've got to see him again in six weeks, dsn moved to three months instead of six. That's quite thorough I think...

just had a binge (couldnt help myself)

I'm an abstainer too. Everyone marvels at how strict my eating patterns are now but I can't just stop at one of something. But, my goodness, I could binge before, no control or stop button. X
