Hey! I'm 23 and type 1 as well, only difference is that I was only diagnosed two weeks ago ([emoji85] ) while on a trip in South America. Nobody in my family has it so this website and forum have been a huge help! [emoji5]

    Humulin injection sites

Hey! I'm on Humulin NPH, twice a day. When I was diagnosed I was told it can only be injected into my arm or stomach, not my legs. Is this correct? I feel like I'm running out of space to inject without getting too close to previous injection sites. Any help would be really appreciated! Anna xo

    Getting bored...

I take 15 units of insulin (nph) in the morning, and after that breakfast my blood sugar is always at a good level. I haven't learned yet about carb counting to match insulin and right now I only take it twice a day - morning/evening.

    Getting bored...

Hi! I was diagnosed a week ago, and since then have been eating pretty much the same three meals a day to keep my blood sugar level. Usually for breakfast I have some wholemeal toast with peanut butter on it. It's tasty but I'm getting bored of it. Before I was diagnosed I would always eat...

    Struggling to see

Thank you for your help! This is the problem though, I'm not at home at the minute, I'm in Brazil and was diagnosed here so I don't have access to everything I would at home. Luckily though I do have this forum, it'd been a life saver!

Thank you so much for your replies! It's horrible, they're getting worse and worse. Could this be a sign that my insulin doses are wrong? Xo

    Struggling to see

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with type 1 last week and since I started taking my insulin my eyesight is getting worse and worse. I'm 23 and I've worn glasses since I was 7, but I never needed to wear them all the time as I could see well. Now though, I cannot read without them and everything...

    Job dilemma

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with Type 1 last week and still learning about everything. I was due to start a summer job next month, and I am unsure now about whether or not I should do it. It's a high energy job that would require me being on my feet all day, running around, moving a lot...
