I just diagnosed as T2 diabetic and my age is 62yr old. How can I determine whether my high BG level is due to my body unable to produce sufficient insulin or due to my body cells failed to response to insulin. Is there any method to find out?

I guess there is a sudden increase in BS level in your body due to intake of large quantities of sugar or carbohydrate

I am using Prodigy Auto Code meter to test my BG level. I don't take reading for my 1st drop of blood. I clean the first drop of blood using tissue and squeeze my finger for a second drop of blood. I test the glucose level for my 2nd drop of blood. Normally I find that the reading is too low...
