Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

It's FAGE total so there is some sugar, 3.8 grams. I've tried the Aldi version as well but didn't look at the Carb/sugar content, cheaper but not as tasty :(

    Fatigue

Sorry for the late reply, I'm T2 and have a Vitamin D deficiency, taking meds for that; I've only just started testing in the last week as I was only diagnosed mid July, and I'm now following a low carb diet. no probs with sleep ( apart from getting up 2 or 3 times a night) and no other meds...

    Fatigue

Hi can I get some advice please? 45 mins after lunch and I need a sleep! This happens nearly every day and I'm assuming it's diet related? Yoghurt and a few nuts for breakfast, a handful of nuts as a snack and lunch was salad leaves, cottage cheese, butter beans, tomato and that's all. Must...

    tiredness

I'm T2 as well and I get tired, however it was diagnosed as a Vitamin D deficiency and I'm now on a capsule a day for that. I'd read somewhere on here that Vit D deficiency can contribute to Type 2 as well, so maybe it's worthwhile asking for a specific blood test for that deficiency?

    What Next?

Hi all As I've only just been diagnosed, and the GP nurse didn't seem overly concerned I've been told to manage things by diet only for now. My Hb thingy test was 50% so only just over the threshold, still waiting for my cholesterol but blood pressure was fine as I've put in other threads it was...

    Type 2 Lancet Disposal

Hi, I'm diet only but testing to find out what foods cause spikes. I'd never just chuck them in the wheelie bin as said they're contaminated. Thanks for the guidance I'm in to see the practice nurse next week regarding cholesterol levels so I can ask if they'll take them for disposal. I think...

    Type 2 Lancet Disposal

Hi, New to all this so I've just started testing my blood /sugar; how do I safely dispose of old lancet's I can get a sharps bin as my step daughter is T1 ( I'm T2) and gets all her stuff free, but I can't just chuck it in the wheelie bin when it's full? Thanks

    So what happens next?

Hi all, Just moved over from the Introductions Forum, I've got BG monitor ordered as advised on the site. So far my GP/PN haven't really given any info/help. Apparently when my Cholesterol check returns they will asses the risk, not sure what all that is about? I've started a low carb diet...

Hi I'm Dave, Just been diagnosed with type2, and to be honest it's a relief, I've been wondering why I've been feeling tired/headaches/aching all the symptoms ( except weight loss!). No medication and I've been advised to control it by Lifestyle/Diet etc. Not much help from local GP I don't...
