    Fasting blood sugars

Hi, I have a libre and it shows my fasting levels are around 5.6. I have been taking Ozempic for a year. I’m also getting hypos after eating meals. Do you think I’ll be able to come off Ozempic anytime soon? Thanks for your input.

    Going up to 8mmol/L

I have 8 before the 2 hour mark? I have a libre and that’s what it shows. What does it mean if it peaks before the 2 hour mark?

    Going up to 8mmol/L

What would happen if I was to come off Ozempic? Would 8 likely to go up…? I’ve almost lost 4 stone since my diagnosis this time last year

    Going up to 8mmol/L

Not sure if you write it as 8mmol/L but anyway…..if you go up to an 8 and never go over after eating is this good. I know there is room for improvement like cutting down on cereal bars, porridge, chips…but if 8 isn’t too bad I thought I could just cut down on the portion sizes to get that bumper...

    Spikes

just wanted to clarify, is the goal to have less spikes as well as less pronounced spikes after eating? So is whole grain better because it doesn’t spike as fast and is more smooth?

Estimated a1c on libre is 4.8percent

Because of my bulimia I have not been able to change my diet and I’ve purchased a libre with the hope of making small changes to my diet when I’m able to. Is it likely that I’m now in remission even though I’ve not not been able to change my diet at all since diagnosis?

    Brownie and flavoured latte

Thanks for your replies. I have very much still got active bulimia. I’ve been trying to address this issue but I’ve had it for so long the behaviour is really entrenched. I hope it’s not going to be a lifelong thing but I fear it might. I’ve had anorexia and then bulimia since I was 8 years old...

Estimated a1c on libre is 4.8percent

Is this likely to be accurate and is this a good reading? I’ve been taking Ozempic for 11 months and have been trying to address issues in my diet although there is definitely room for improvement with my diet although I have an eating disorder also which complicates matters

    Brownie and flavoured latte

I definitely agree that I need to make healthier choices for diabetes management but I’m also recovering from 20years of eating disorders most recently bulimia so I’m trying to get a healthy balanced diet for that also. It’s hard you know? :(

    Brownie and flavoured latte

Thanks for your reply. I have so much still to learn about diabetes. 6 for brownie and latte, 7 for noodles but 7.8 for a bag of crisps! All consumed in pm

    Brownie and flavoured latte

I’m new to understanding diabetes and experimenting with different foods and the impact on my blood glucose for the first time btw!

    Brownie and flavoured latte

According to libre this had less of an impact on my blood sugar than stir fry and noodles. How can this be?

Pairing foods to make food healthier?

I saw something on Instagram that said if you pair a banana with peanut butter it’s not as bad for you as just a banana and egg bites with a latte is not as bad as a latte on its own? How does this work?
