Thanks for the info seems I have been brainwashed by the Lipid consultant telling me my LDL is far too high and I am in imminent danger of having another stroke !

I’m actively trying to get my levels down, why would anyone want to get their levels of LDL higher?

I suffered from the most terrible muscle ache with Statins. I also suffer from arthritis and the two together made it unbearable. This new medication is for people who can’t tolerate Statins so hopefully it will work. Will post an update in 3 months when I have been back to the Lipid Clinic

Just an update on this thread , I have today given myself the first Praluent injection on my new cholesterol medication. I inject it every 2 weeks for the next 3 months and then back at Clinic to see results. Has anyone else been on this type of drug for cholesterol?)
