    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

The timing of the injections has been the big revelation for me. I've now found I can quite happily have toast for breakfast if I inject about 20 mins b4 (and lashings of butter) :D

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

I know the feeling. I caved in at the weekend and ordered another 1 as my last one runs out on Sunday. It's just one. What can it hurt? I'm NOT addicted. It's just one more... ;)

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

I have found all of my sensors to be pretty reliable so far luckily. My only problem now is going to be withdrawal symptoms. My original plan was to do this for 4 weeks every few months to try and help with tightening overall control. I am now finding it so reassuring to be able to just scan...

    Broken toe?

That was me. 2 weeks before the ankle :) @MrsMushroom i would make an appointment with your GP. I did this to myself playing football a few months ago. The toe looked black and blue within an hour or 2 and really hurt for a couple of days. Dr said yes it's broken but no action needed as it...

    Kidney infection

I suffered from this quite frequently about 12 years ago. Just took antibiotics for a few weeks whilst feeling like death. I wouldn't have thought they would take you into hospital for IV unless you were seriously ill

    Fed up with surgery staff

Thanks. It's nice to know there is light at the end of the tunnel :)

    Fed up with surgery staff

It could be partly due to data protection act. Over the phone there is no proof that you are who you say you are. They have to be so careful about what information they can give out as medical info is classed as confidential

    Bit of advice ...

This happened to me when I was pregnant. I started to notice I was needing less insulin the further along I got. It was over 8 years ago now so I can't remember exactly at what point it started, sorry. Baby was absolutely fine though and it now a normal (meaning hyperactive, noisy, messy...

I could lie and say yes, first ever break but unfortunately I actually broke the second toe on the same foot 2 weeks before the ankle playing football on a trampoline. Careless I know heehee. Was break free up to age 38 and 3/4

    Risk associated with Surgery

Thanks. I know I have to be patient and do my exercises like a good girl but......... Aaaagh!! Although, I'm going for hydrotherapy at the hospital on 5th with Nick (not met him yet) but a nice hot tub with a fit young man doesn't sound too bad to me. Need 5 sessions apparently. Oh what a...

    Risk associated with Surgery

The healing is not too bad it's just the end of day swelling, lack of muscle and shrunken tendons etc. am apparently healing really well but I can hardly bend it to walk. I'm looking like Quasimodo without the crutch :) you don't realise how much you bend your ankle forward when you walk until...

    Risk associated with Surgery

Hi Nicola. Annoying question time. How long did your ankle take to get back to normal (if it did!) and did you have to have screws and plate in it? I have done exactly what you describe and it's driving mad not to be already fixed!!! Grrr

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

Arm is no longer painful thankfully. Am actually very impressed that this 2nd sensor seems to have been really accurate straight from the start. Approx 0.4 out compared to my meter most of the time. Am being quietly horrified by what my graphs look like tho. Mountain range springs to mind...

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

For anyone who is interested..... Just put my new sensor on. I put it on my right arm in approx the same position as the first was on the left arm. First one didn't hurt at all going in. This one was rather painful. Still aches s bit an hour later. Also, OMG how hard to get the first one...

    Recovering for a hypo

I'm the same. It rarely takes me more than 15 mins to be fully functional again no matter how low I've gone (apart from the 2 where I needed help both times when asleep). I'm obviously very lucky :)
