    Potential diabetes cure

Still has to be less risky then asking you to make toast in the morning....

Just for fun. Blood type and keto.

Agreed, maybe the OP would be open to including that option if one of the mods would add it? Just so happens you seem to be a mod. :) Personally, I have no idea what type, but keto works well.

Oh dear, lack of faith in the system sometimes

HCP's are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gunna get. Glad your feeling better! :)

Type 1 Vegan diet changed my insulin needs? Weird!

Agreed, official government guidelines and advice are nonsense. You only have to look at the current state of public health and the continued worsening of it to see that. Eat low fat, eat lots of carbs. Use the fear tool of eating saturated fat will kill you nonsense and various other so called...

    58 not a big improvement

In a recent post you mentioned eating oranges as a source of vitC instead of a supplement. If this is the case, then you really need to think seriously about eating stuff like that. It certainly won't be helping your levels.

Oral medicine ""no need to test""

The "you don't need to test," is just absolute nonsense. This is partly how T2 can become progressive. Ignore it, it's detrimental cost cutting advice. If you have to self fund your own strips then that is money well spent in my opinion and what I'd do if in your shoes.

Drinking water in the morning before FBG test

I don't think so, about all that is gong to happen is the water will hydrate you.... which is obviously a good thing!

    Insulin deficiency - newly diagnosed

3c is a bit different for each person, if your partner's pancreas is no longer producing the insulin required then insulin will have to used to make up the difference. There just isn't an alternative if the damage is permanent. It sounds like his insulin is being measured and that really is the...

DN Review - the good and not so good!

That's a great result. 36 is fantastic, not that I need to tell you that, but hey. This absurd advice or is it being told more so then advised to not test just ignores how important it really is. It's data, it's very important data. I honestly can't believe she said some people on insulin...

Do people take supplements with medication?

You might want to look up some of the supplements you are taking.... some can interfere with sleep when taken late. VitD could be on of them for example.

Do people take supplements with medication?

I take mine in the morning also, but to put that into context, I don't use either of those meds you use, but I know they have an effect on things like blood glucose levels for example. So, that may be helpful to you and it may be of utterly useless value too.

    Type 3c, taking insulin, good/bad?

Welcome to the forum no one wants to be a member of. That story your nurse told you isn't worth a grain of salt. Most likely the bodybuilders ended up T2 diabetics at some point from simply over eating glucose loaded foods. Which includes a lot of starchy high carb foods like pasta, rice...

BS of 11.7 2 hours after breakfast

Make sure your hands are clean.... sometimes people forget to do this.

    Potential diabetes cure

Another cure is just around the corner funding pitch. I won't hold my breath.

This may be a stupid question

I'd say give it a shot and see how it goes.... it sounds good to me!

    Two days no dr call

My GP had never heard of it also, I had to explain it to him, but he had no problem with getting it done. Though things are probably a bit different here in Australia in terms of what can get done with blood tests.

    Pre result stress?

Congrats on the great results. And yes, I do get a bit nervous about them, but my estimate in my head is pretty close to the results. Still, I think it's fairly normal to get somewhat nervous about them.
