    Welcome from another recently diagnosed t1. I had 4 wks off and have now returned to work with a phased return. I’d take the break- Altho I mostly feel ok in myself now I still get tired very easily and work has been wiping me out even on reduced hours!

    Thanks guys for all the replies. TBH I’m not sure what I would do with the info other than as was mentioned keeping an extra eagle eye out ;) ultimately I wouldn’t want them to end up in icu like I did, but appreciate that’s unlikely as hopefully we are all a lot more aware of the symptoms now...

    Just making myself some soup and had a sudden panic! I'm carb counting (t1 for 1 month!) - do I need to include carbs for the squash? I can see on the app I use there is carbs but I was told I only need to worry about potatoes and the like (and baked beans!) and all other veggies I didn't need...

    I was discussing this with someone today as I'm a month diagnosed and now I think a couple of weeks late. I was assuming it was still my body recovering from my dka but was going to check at next appt if still not appeared. I've also been told that when it does arrive might mess with BG levels...
