    2 CGM’s & 2 very different readings!

Hi please can someone advise I started in the guardian 4 sensor yesterday, since midnight it has alerted me of a low, this am at 5 it started again to the point I got up & did a bm- 8.5 (the guardian said I was 3.6) really confused? Should I get hold of my nurse Clearly this isn’t right Many...

Been given a Medtronic 780g with G4 sensors and I hate it. Do I have to keep it for the full four years?

Sorry to hear that I’m changing to the Medtronic 780 this afternoon- What don’t you like about the 780? I’d advise ring your pump nurse & ask her

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

    That sounds a good plan

    Dexcom7

Yes I have used it- very good but have gone back to Dexcom g6 as my iPhone software was to up to date & had many signal error issues with the g7

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

So would you consider getting the guardian 3/4? I use the Dexcom g6 at the moment but am keen to try the guardian sensors but the price is higher than Dexcom & the MARD is higher.

Can I ask how you are finding the pump? What CGM are you using with it? I am due to start in Tuesday

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

So just had an email from the pump rep- she said to start on the pump first then discuss the CGM side of things with my team, I told my nurse I was very interested in the guardian 4. The rep said I will need a lot of support from my team Is this normal?

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

Yes this what I believe. I’ve got to pick up the new pump & then got zoom meeting with my nurse & Medtronic rep on the 20th February- really hoping k can get the free trial, as the guardian 4 is more than the Dexcom

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

Thank you for all this information. I am really keen to get it though my nurse is kind of like it’s up to you- I would have thought if I can surely it’s worth getting it to get the most out of the pump

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

Thank you Good to have a users feedback. I will ask my nurse about the g3, what would you say is the difference between the g4 & g3-is it just the g3 needs calibration?

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

I thought the point of the pump alongside the guardian sensor was that you let the pump do it’s thing so you can take you’re hand off the steering wheel sort of thing?! For example corrections or if your numbers were dropping it would reduce your insulin

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

So it looks like I’ll be paying for a while if I decide to use the guardian 4 Is this guardian 4 the way to go with this new pump? As in the sensor & pump are closed loop system

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

I do self fund my Dexcom, I was told by my nurse & Medtronic rep that I will have to pay for the guardian 4 sensor if I want it. Is this correct?

    Dexcom G7 on the NHS?

I have tried the G7- I liked it but was having constant signal issues-Dexcom customer services told me that it was because my iPhone software wasn’t compatible with the G7- so unfortunately I am now back on the G6. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great bit of kit but it is more expensive than the G7...

    Medtronic 780g + Guardian 4

Hi, can I ask were any of you using the Dexcom before swapping over to the G4? I’m due to get my 780 in February I currently use the Dexcom but feel if this new pump is as good as it sounds on paper then I should get the G4 to go with it
  19. J

    Libre alarms not working.

Have to say Dexcom is ahead of Freestlye Libre - it’s whether you want to pay for it. I’m a type 1 on insulin pump, I tried the Dexcom 1- unfortunately just too basic(you cannot make any notes on it -insulin,food,exercise) I’m now going back to the G6 [emoji106]

Wake up in the am & I may be between 9-12 I give 1 unit (normally as will be having a coffee within 30 mins of waking aswell) But it seems to rise-for example this am woke up & I was 11.1, gave the insulin it went down...
