    HbA1c unchanged but GP happy

Perfectly normal, and it proves that your chosen yoghurt works very well for you. :) The initial rise was likely your liver adding some glucose to your bloodstream to help get you going for the day, the drop shows that you can deal with the yoghurt just fine. A reason to eat the 10% yoghurt...

    High sugars with gallstones

Hi @Libby66 , yes, inflammation of any kind tends to raise our blood glucose. Being a T1, have you been in contact with your diabetes team (endo or diabetes nurse) to discuss adjusting your doses?

    HbA1c unchanged but GP happy

Most likely because your 'daily allowance' isn't based on your personal data - blood glucose numbers before and after foods, but on a standardised number. I agree with @Pipp , the main problem with (pre)diabetes is the risk of developing long term complications, the keywords being 'long term'...

    Dapagliflozin

Hi @Schnicky , welcome to the forum. Those side effects sound pretty unbearable. Can you contact your doctor or diabetes nurse to discuss stopping this medication due to side effects and seeing if a non-flozin type of medication would work better for you?

    Ascend trial

Hi @veronicagoldie , that's wonderful to hear! If you're interested in other peoples experiences too, there is a long thread on the trial here: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/anyone-on-the-ascend-plus-trial.199683/page-18

Outch! A thin pillow between your knees of under your feet may make sleeping a little more comfortable.

    Easy To Make Pesto

Do not plant nettles anywhere near your home, you'll regret it. Someone considering buying nettle seeds is very much a first to me! :hilarious: And I'll stop the derailing here. @Zixx , I don't have any experience with low carb noodles (I usually just have the sauce without the noodles, or...

    Type 3C with colitis

Most diets aimed at diabetics are aimed at T2's. With your T3C, you're more like a T1 when it comes to adjusting your insulin to the food you eat. With T3C or T1 you don't produce your own insulin, so we have to supplement what our body doesn't make. It doesn't necessarily need a special diet...

    Easy To Make Pesto

I once made a pesto much like yours, except I used nettle leaves instead of basil, tasted very good! Young nettles are the best for cooking so this would have to wait for spring. Oh, and don't taste it right away like I did, it takes a little while for the sting to disappear from the nettles...

High blood but not eating, how?

Hi @Maurice McNelis , In addition to the questions above, what type of yoghurt do you eat? How many carbs does it have? Do you adjust your insulin doses based on the amount of carbs in your meals?

    Hello one and all

The dose depends on your blood glucose. Are you regularly testing with a fingerprick? If you feel dizzy or have a balance problem, you must test to make sure your blood glucose is not too low.

    Hello one and all

I like to do it last thing before turning off the light, I'm most likely to remember at that time. :)

    Slightly confused

If your pancreas has atrophied and if this has caused your diabetes, have you asked your pancreatic surgeon why it would not be T3C?

I didn't even know that runner beans turned into beans to be shelled if you let them grow longer! (I buy my runner beans and all other veggies from the supermarket, and sometimes from a roadside seller with a box to put your money in. No talent for growing stuff myself at all.) I love runner...

Is it safe to stay in your 4s mmol

Are you on medication that can cause hypos?

    Dextro Energy Tablets

Hi @tinyf , welcome to the forum. According to your profile, the only medication you're on for your diabetes is metformin, which is not a medication associated with hypos. Do you have a particular reason to expect going too low? And to answer your question: I'm a T1 diabetic and use insulin...

    iPhone?

My apologies. I use android so I'm not sure with which iPhones it will work. I tried to be helpful by letting you know you can buy a 20 or 30 £ android tag instead of a complete new phone.

    iPhone?

In that case, I'd buy an Android tag instead of an Apple tag.
