    I go to a Slimming World group ( they advocate being full and eating plenty of 'Healthy'carbs tho, not low carb ), but some (a lot) of the posts on this website seem to be all for HFLC . Just out of interest how Low carb do you go and what do you 'fill up ' on?. If that's OK to ask. :cat:

    I was diagnosed this February , my HBa1c was 42 ~ This is what happened at my surgery ~~ The clinician will weigh you and take yr blood pressure , mine didn't take a BG test ( Blood glucose) . I had a dietary information lecture (friendly one) and was asked about if I smoked or drank alcohol...

    I had this trouble turned out to be my morning meds ( for BP) which I take first b4 anything else , there is also a condition called liver dump . I recently went up into the 7's again for no reason I can understand . Good luck hope it sorts out (y)

    6.9 !! Bloody diet fizzy drink ( didn't check label) had 'trace' sugars in it !!!

    I have taken Swanson , Bitter Melon , 500mg , for a month and it has helped , (I think) as I have also lost weight. (approx 7 lbs ) . I got a bit dizzy / light headed / headache recently so cut down the Bitter Melon ( Before which I cut down my 1 caffeine coffee a day etc to rule out which) ...

    I take the capsules , Swanson 500mg , x2 a day, as I tried the actual gourd and found it difficult to stomach . ( Although there was a good curry recipe I tried and it was good) .
