I have been busy making trousers this week. I also have loads of fabric and beads and have finally used some black linen I bought years ago

It's lovely. There is certainly some work in this and those black and white charts are really horrendous. I did a similar thing years ago but from a colour code chart and even that was a nightmare because of all the colour changes in the coat. I haven't seen it for years - I must find it again.

It's only since I started going in rather than out in the middle that I decided it would be a good idea! I am not quite at the top of the size range but the idea is it will get smaller with me.

Quite excited. Have bought a dress form on eBay and it has just arrived. The challenge now is to make it the same shape as me!

They are really nice. I particularly like the top one. It is difficult to find an outlet. My sister makes amazing Eco dyed scarves and sells through a local shop where you either pay rent for a bit of space or work a day in the shop. She has recently started to do craft fairs and has been...

Have been busy making bunting for the tea tent at our Rotary Dragonboats race. I don't know what it is about it but the cat is fascinated. I have just found him asleep on it.

My sister has heard a rumour that they are getting more in October. I didn't think I needed one until I was given one as a Christmas present. Saves hours and the seams look really neat. I rarely make something on which it is not used

Your hoodie is far neater than my hand knitting!

I had a knitting machine and for years used to make all my own knitwear but when they became less popular and I became bigger, there were fewer patterns available and you are limited by the ply of the 'wool' and the number of needles on the standard bed(200). I started hand knitting but could...

It's more a matter of looking at knitted things and not being satisfied with the quality

In response to the comment about stitching columns together: I bet that looks really good. I wish I had the patience to knit. There are bags with half-finished items tucked away all over my house.

Busy week this week. Made a lined lace shift dress and then a summer dress which buttons all the way down the back. Am pleased with my efforts this summer but guess it's about time to start making trousers for the autumn. I still have a fair bit of wardrobe space to fill after the mega clear out!

No, in a marquee at the cricket club across the road! It's part of the fundraising efforts for a new clubhouse . We have been to many things at Lowther over the years though.
