    Guardian Sensor 3

It's important to not calibrate if your sugars are rapidly rising or dropping as this will affect the accuracy of the calibration and sensor. I think 2 caibrations is the absolute minimum and I reckon that no more than 4 per day if you really have to re-calibrate. 24 hours into the 670g the...

    Guardian Sensor 3

5 failed And problems connecting the transmitter? Once the transmitter is connected to the pump, it shouldn't need to reconnect again. Do your sensors fail instantly / all at the same time? Do they warm up and initialise OK? Transmitter fully charged? You're waiting for the light to stop...

    Upgrading the 640g to 670g

So I've just picked up the 670g. Told to use it for a week as I used the 640g while it keatns my habits and then in a week I can go onto auto mode. My educator is going to test me before we switch on auto mode and said there will be questions she expects me to ask, and if I don't she'll know...

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

So it seems my run of silly highs were my body telling me I was getting some kind of bug. Left work early on Friday after vomiting twice and spent the weekend thowing up and awful diarhhea. Finally had enough energy to get to the walk in clinic today and got diagnosed with viral gastro. Various...

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

Yeah it's a pain in the @Rse eh? (or a pain in the abdomen!) Annoying when your 2 or 3 correction doses appear to do nothing then all of a sudden they catch up. What a silly disease. :D I'm wondering if I have an underlying cold / illness as I spiked up to 18mmol/L last night and took a couple...

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

Will be upgrading to a 670g very soon. Order has been placed. Wasn't sure (nor were Medtronic) if I could get a new loan pump and upgrade from the 640g, but somehow I've managed it. Think I need to look at sensor and cannula sites as I must be hitting hard skin / fatty deposits. Had a few days...

    Advice on pumps with FIASP

I'm not sure about your pump specifically, but I can change the delivery speed on my 640g - might be an option in yours? 3 mins to deliver 10u seems super slow.

    Upgrading the 640g to 670g

Possibly. TBH I never thought I'd lose one and I'd have needed to add it as an extra on my home insurance. I still haven't done this, but not planning on being quite so stupid again! It actually works out better to start a new loan on the 670g as it's cheaper than loaning the 640g. That doesn't...

    Upgrading the 640g to 670g

So good news. 670g has been ordered and just waiting for my DSN to give me me a shout. It's costing me $149 a month to "rent" the new pump, until my warranty period expires on the pump I lost (3 years = $5000 ish AUD$). I'm assuming that the consumables I already have (cannula / reservoirs)...

How do I view my blood glucose on my Apple Watch

Lots of BT devices will only connect to one thing at a time. I've not tried myself, but I would imagine you could connect to the pump OR to the app. I think you have to have the sensor docked in the charger to connect it to another device, like when you first connect it to the pump. I might see...

    Medtronic 670

I'm about to jump on the 670g bandwagon. Currently using a 640g so quite keen on following these threads.

    Medtronic 640G, Guardian CGM 3 + iOS?

On the Medtronic FAQ's However it's not clear if you can connect the sensor to the pump AND your Apple watch at the same time. I would guess it's an either / or thing as not all that many bluetooth devices are designed to be connected to two things at once. Plus I also imagine there would be...

    Upgrading the 640g to 670g

Aus based, so might be different for UK peeps. Anyway - had the 640g since October last year. Just before Christmas I lost it (put on roof of car after a run, then drove off and lost it!). So Medtronic allowed me to "rent" a 640g for the duration of the warranty period (at $180 per month on top...

    Guardian Sensor 3

I've not started my box of G3 sensors yet. I've got a few of the "old" sensors to get through first. I'm still having issues with them. Current sensor keeps telling me it's lost signal, may take 3 hours to find it again, will need calibrating when it's found it. Seems to be the norm rather than...

Information on long term effect of teflon cannulas?

I think the concern for Teflon / PTFE was based on it peeling off from hot fry pans etc. The uber thin Teflon coating on a cannula is not likely to come off or poison you in the 2/3 days it's in you. You'll be fine.

    Guardian Sensor 3

Cheers Bob I have no idea when I'll be getting them, as call q's are too long and they don't respond to emails. Ever. Unless it's to say my card got declined for some reason. hehe

    Guardian Sensor 3

Bah..."New" box of sensors was the same ones. Seems like the Medtronic rep gave me duff advice when I reordered.

    Guardian Sensor 3

nope - get a box sent each month, and they have different lot numbers and different expiration dates. I've also got random boxes of single sensors they've sent me to replace the dodgy ones. They're all labelled up in 1 / 2 / 3 etc depending on batch and expiry date so I know quickly which one to...
