    Guardian Sensor 3

Yeah I know it says that, but I don't see how having the system longer would reduced the warm up times to 45 mins. Mine's always been an hour and a half +. Have Medtronic explained possible reasons why startup time varies so much? Seem to have had a bad batch of sensors recently. All lasting...

    Guardian Sensor 3

That's odd. Surely the warm up time is a fairly constant factor? Anyways, I'm on my last box of the 12 month subscription and was told on the phone that the new ones will be G3 so will see how it all goes. Let us know how you find them Bob. Is it a new 'Serter and charge station too?

    Guardian Sensor 3

Just tried to update my CGM subscription via Medtronic eShop Wouldn't let me add another 12 month subscription so I called them - got told they are now shipping the Sensor3 for 640g as it's a better sensor, smaller, more comfortable and now lasts up to 7 days. Oh and quicker start up time...

Weird levels today ? sick ? flu jab ?

Oh wow hadn't realised it affected us for quite such a long time! Makes sense why I've been all over the place for the last week. Self induced pump-rage " Argh it's beeping at me and I'm high again!" CGM seems to have got itself into a tizz and 4.8 now after a re calibration. Lunch time...

Weird levels today ? sick ? flu jab ?

Hey team Having a few issues with my levels over the last few days. I'm in Australia, had my flu jab last weds (winter here, real bad flu going round, very serious) So Thursday night last week I spiked up to 14. Correction dose given (640g pump with cgm). Levels didn't budge. stayed at 14. So...

    Medtronic 640g belt clip

I think they made them from the weakest plastic known to man. And that little pin you have to keep pushing back in..... Hardly seems worth the risk to put an expensive electronic device on your person, attached by essentially, something weaker than a Dairlea Cheese slice, and expect it to be up...

    Private health cover funding Australia

Tell me about it. I can't keep up with all the changes. Unfortunately I had.....an accident, and lost my pump (long story, there's a thread). Anyway I'm "renting" a pump from Medtronic which is costing me $180 a month. I'm still having to pay for all the other stuff but maybe a pump rental might...

    Private health cover funding Australia

I'm with Medibank (previously HBF) Settled Families Comprehensive cover. Costs us $155 a month. So that's me, wife and 2 kids under 10. HBF previously paid for my Accuchek pump. Switch to Medibank paid for my 640g and transmitter. I have to fork out $250 a month for the sensors for the 640g...

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

Yeah I'll give it a shot. Just seems really cheaply made and sub quality

    Novorapid vials in short supply

What about Flexpens? I use these to fill my reservoir, plus on the off chance there's a pump issue, I can just pop a needle tip on and inject (*shudder*) if I ever say.... Lost my pump (this happened - I had to go back to MDI and 2x insulins - not great).

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

You know, for a $10k pump.... The bloody belt clip is utter garbage. Constantly having to push in the hinge pin on the clip. And still not heard back from Medtronic as to why the silicone case is 3x the price here in Australia compared to US priced.

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

Not sure how good another CGM would be - I've got the Medtronic pump and their CGM as it works together. When my BSL drops it alerts me it's dropping. If I don't do anything and it goes into hypo mode, it stops giving insulin. There's a graph on the pump so I can see the trends of highs and lows...

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

Hey buddy. I'm with Medibank. I got the pump paid for but I pay for the cgm. It's part of a subscription deal and it's 250 per month. The sensors last 6 days and you get a box of 5 sent. Essentially 50 bucks a sensor. Plus they send you the transmitter as part of the deal and they're a grand a...

Constant issues with Accu-Chek infusion sets

I never had any issues with Accu-chek cannula in three years I do have issues with the Medtronic Mio infusun sets which seem to work "loose" and pop out, or not go in correctly when I use the 6mm. I prefer the Medtronic Sure T (also at 6mm) which appear to be less rage-inducing!

    Pump (and Life) Upgrade

Getting annoyed at Medtronic's inability to steadily supply sensors! Despite being part of the subscription I was constantly ringing them to say I was down to my last one. Anyway, they sent me 4 individual spares, plus the box of 5 I was due, which came last week. Now I've just got an email to...

    Medtronic Reservoirs

Aint that the truth. It pains me using the Medtronic Mio cannula - for what I actually use, compared to what gets thrown out, terrible waste of plastic.
