    Only diagnosed on Friday been really good on low carbs ( and my meds )thought I would have a piece of whole meal toast ... an hour later I paid heavily shaking and bad head back BG went up to 14 - quite shocked

    My BG 8.8 today which is much improved from the 14-16's last week before I was ' officially' diagnosed. Today despite this I feel exhausted is this normal ?

    Hi ! I've just been diagnosed only yesterday and I hate blood tests - had 3 within days however I have to say blood tests are much improved from a few years ago - I think it's to do with the vacuum they now use . I hardly felt a thing - I think it helps having it done by a trained phlebotomist...

    Good morning all - my level was 11.7 this morning which is the lowest it's been for 2 weeks ( only officially diagnosed T2 yesterday) early days yet I know - glad I've got the monitor despite my GP saying not to get one . It's made me feel less stressed already

    Hi Daphne - my cholesterol is raised - it's 7 - I'm wondering if it will come down on its own with my change of diet ? I'm not keen on taking statins to be honest

    I think GP's blame us for getting it - yes I am overweight but had already started dieting - I don't really drink I have never smoked - I'm not all bad am I

    He just said ' it's not necessary ' as I would never have a hypo - but as I want to get the levels down then like you said monitoring is the key ! I just ate a banana see what it does !
