    Yes, exactly and absolutely!

The off topic would be if we talked about nuclear physics for example, but this one is about diabetes after all. I like it. :)

Common sense. That is also primarily because: 1. They are homeless and therefore undernourished. They do not have enough food let alone glucose and sugars. 2. They must move a lot to find food, which in turn (exercise) burns off their excess of glucose and weight. versus home pets who just: 1...

I think homeless cats and dogs running around dumpsters and cesspools aren't prone to diabetes either. They are basically wild but within our cities and towns.

Gee... That's definitely because of what human beings feed them. That proves it one more time that there is a lot of nasty foodstuff that is sold out there for us to eat. Thanks goodness I've started now closely watching my food and its ingredients.

Interesting. Well, pets actually do have diabetes too. What do we know.

Right. That's exactly my point as well. I think wild animals never have diabetes. Ever. They do not always eat to their hearts content, in fact they are usually undernourished and just cannot hog it and make any pigs of themselves :). They also must move a lot searching for food and that in turn...

Thank you, that's a very informative and enlightening answer. It totally slipped my mind that carbohydrates would actually turn into fat.

    5.5 to 5.9 mmol/L Oddity

Thank you so much for your input, Emile. I appreciate. It's useful to know but it definitely differs from country to country and possibly from doctor to doctor. All these guides and charts found online have different advices.. each.. some say 5.5 is diabetic, others say 6.0 is completely...

I think young age doesn't necessarily mean diabetes free. People (as well as animals?) can be diagnosed diabetes either being just 1 year old or 70 years old. Is that not right? What I am trying to say is that a pig fed a high carb diet will have all these carbs in its meat. Then we'll eat that...

    5.5 to 5.9 mmol/L Oddity

I was also wondering does anybody also have your blood pressure skyrocket when your BG readings are high? You may not necessarily feel your glucose levels, but your blood pressure will surely signal it to you without any meters and all.

Hmmm... that made me wonder can a fish or a pig become diabetic if we regularly feed carbs and sugars to them? Then, if we eat that fish or a piece of pork we'll have our blood sugars going high won't we? Can an animal that we might eat later (chicken, pigs, fish, etc.) theoretically be a...

    Honey Diabetes and Heart

Nope. I've never seen them eating soups with chopsticks. But I have also never seen them eating soups with spoons either. They usually drink soups straight from bowls, the rest of the world uses spoons. Although I am not an expert on Asian cultures and cuisines, perhaps there was once a...

Yes, I guess they may have spoons, but they do not use them. They use chopsticks for eating, not spoons and forks.

Well, that's Tipetoo from this forum who speaks this language, not me and I do not know this guy from the video. I simply looked it up online just to take a listen how it sounds like and shared it with you guys. I can fluently speak 3 languages and can read and understand another 3, but...

I am not aware of any, sorry. However, if you think logically what do aborigines and tribal people eat? I guess any animals they can hunt for and any fruits and vegetables that grow around them. I have no idea how they cook it in the bush, but stoves, cookers, microwave ovens, etc. are...

    Honey Diabetes and Heart

Thank you for your input. That'll prove useful I think. However, you also do your math in your method as you divide your tablespoons looking for a teaspoon's volume / value. I think mine is a bit simpler. I just looked the teaspoon up online. It's 5 milliliters (ml) or 5 grams (g) per any...

I've been eating only salmon and raspberries for a week.. almost no carbs in it at all. I know how a bear feels now as this animal eats pretty much the same food. The only difference is that I cannot eat as much honey as bears can o_O I think I have a tail starting to grow and my body began to...

How had it "worked" before it stabilized? Has it been up and down / lose weight - gain weight for 5 years on low carbs?
