    Premature ejaculation - help!

Are you the 'comedian' David Mitchell? If so, then it's perfectly understandable...your missus would have the same effect on me! I wouldn't let it bother you, worrying about will make it worse. You don't say how old you are etc, its probably a phase..no more and little else. Sent from the...

    Should I feel ill?

On your last comment, I'm in exactly the same frame of mind. My doc did say that if I had seen him six months earlier, then he wouldn't have put me on meds ( though I did have a choice). I was meant to up my metformin to 1000mg last week. I haven't bothered, as my BG figs are normal for a non...

    Oh Well.....

Hi YM. Funnily enough, I was only peeing like a drain for a few days. We put this down to a bit of an infection, or a poorly prostrate, as I was peeing- then going again . But I was fine during the night and didn't have a raging thirst. I've also been plagued with low level ear infections for...

    Oh Well.....

Well...I did another massive carb binge test last night.... One mars, one galaxy ripple, 2 twirls and a pint of milk. Expected the morning BG to be off the scale. Came in with a 7.2. Expected a 9 at the very least...and it to stay high for a few days (like last time), Post meal levels are in...

Is there anybody out there that is happy to have diabetes

Re: Is there anybody out there that is happy to have diabete I sort of understand why someone would be happy to be a diabetic, though I would probably suggest that you are just very comfortable with the condition and possibly a confident and happy individual by nature in the first place. I'm a...

Had a glucose tolerance test last week...

Being a hgv driver, I imagine that you would lead a sedentary life.....much of the time. If this is the case, then I would aim to reduce your calorie input to about 1200 a day. This may seem difficult, without starving. It isn't. I live on tuna, eggs, chicken, fish ( other than tuna), ham...

    coming off Metformin?

Hi, if your bloke has a bad gut, then please get him to the docs. However, and I am new to this, your husband's figures appear to be far from ideal. Is he on any other meds? Is he low carbing? Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Oh Well.....

It was hellish. The kids had quite rightly solved all the nasty stuff and the only reason why we had some bountys is because I'm the only one in the house who likes coconut! Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Oh Well.....

It's still a great effort. I've been a bit too busy to exercise of late ( on the weights in a hour, just eaten dinner), Fell off the wagon in a major way last night, seemed to crave carbs. Ate a handful of tiny bounty bars, then Hovis crackers, then Jacobs crackers. I expected my morning BG to...

    Oh Well.....

Hi, It does really seem that things are settling down. That said, I applaud anyone who has the sheer will power to exercise after a meal and do it time and again. Complacency is as much as a problem than a poor diet. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    first day using home monitor

We must assume that the meter is 100 accurate, that the sample has not been skewed by squeezing or muck. That the OP has not got an infection and other influences. A visit to the doctor and a hba1c test would be useful to nail this either way. My meter literature clearly states to not use the...

    Oh Well.....

It looks like the metformin, diet, weight loss and less stress are all having some positive results. I banged in a 5.2 on my meter ( which I reckon over states by about 0.5 percentage points) straight out of bed this morning, the lowest ever, even when fasting. My pre breakfast average is 7.6...

    Totally freaked out

Sorry... Try tortilla wraps. I put a full tin of tuna in one, with a touch of salad. Works out at about 300 kcalories max, about 30g of carb and it will fill you up. Think how many slices f bread would be needed to envelope a full tin of tuna. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Totally freaked out

Hi, Pls consider what pasta , spuds, bread etc are made of in the simplest form. I feel that your "sugar" input via carbs MAY be contributing greatly to your BG readings. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
