So I can't fly a plane but I can sail a boat! water did get a bit choppy around tea/dinner/supper and dog walk but it could have been considered more of a gentle swell than rough seas.Seems amything with engines and flying is a no-no - I might have a go at hand gliding today instead :hilarious...

Good morning all! Sorry to say I didn't land the jumbo jet, think it flew into a hill side - ok an unexpected mountain range suddenly appeared on the radar by which time it was too late to take avoiding action  . However today is a new day, and today I'm going to try boating - should...

ummmmm.....you've got more chance wining the lottery (even if you don't play it :hilarious:) - we can only dream! A few years ago this discussion cropped up on the forum about having a T1 holiday, someone taking charge of handling your T1 for a day for you - I wrote a light-hearted post about...

@Jaylee sorry I didn't know to click on like, funny, optimistic or hug - so which would you prefer ? I was stubbornly mid-teens yesterday afternoon, novorapid had turned to water I think, anyway decided to correct before going home as the cycle ride would encourage the insulin to...

    Libre sensor

The reader is also a blood and ketone meter - you can get the reader setup to do bolus adviser (from blood tests only). It will show you the graph for the last 8hrs when scanned/flashed and also give an arrow indicating where your bloods are likely to head - up, steadily up, level, steadily down...

@lorraine c I was exactly the same had ugly horrible burns from the old ones, gave up on them, I did try a CGM (not dexcom) and that was good too when it worked. Can't remember when I last used an old Libre, probably well over a year ago, and then end of November I plucked up enough courage to...

Hope that those that aren't feeling great get better soon. Much like smc I was a bit high during the afternoon and as I was busy hanging doors I didn't want to correct too much and dive too low, but a correction at bedtime did the trick (a bit too much) woke on a 3.8 and had been scootering...

Carbs today...........ran out of fingers and toes.....usual breakfast (60g carbs), and then it all went to cake......:joyful:......followed by last nights left over pasta dish for lunch and tonight I think it's Mexican, if I end up on the sameish BG number I started on today I suppose I could...

Basal and bolus balance on a low carb diet

I'm with you @Rokaab, the basal/bolus ratio is totally individualistic and it is what ever YOU need it to be that works for you. This is what most people find, even if they think they have fairly good control the Libre is a real eye opener! This just maybe down to timing of the bolus...

Morning all, sensored up - not censored! And a good steady start to the day and over night. I thought you guys were going to keep the 'you've got a cupboard!?' scenario going for a bit then, I have a wicker basket in a cupboard and a drawer..........:wideyed:

Type 1 Dexcom vs Libre CGMs

I'm self funded (lucky enough to have a family member work for Abbott so get them at 'Family&Friends' rate) so I wasn't at the mercy of the latest prescription delays, saying that I was forced to be without a sensor for 3 days this week as there was briefly a lack of stock for F&F purchases :meh:

    Today’s carbs.

Yesterday was: breakfast cereal = 60g carbs (Honey nut clusters with choc bits) snack = carbs unknown - a 'few' (too many) matchmakers Lunch was a chicken and mayo sandwich, + crisps = ~50g carbs Dinner/tea/supper = sausages with roasted veg (potatoes, onion, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and...
