@chris85 type 1 what did you decide to do and what number are you at now? For what it's worth I would have said ride it out but keep testing if you had a significant amount of IOB and were likely to carry on doing down.

    Drenching night sweat = hypo?

Hi pinewood, from what you've said I'd say it was a nighttime hypo. If it continues then I'd go back to using the dexcom just to find out. Oh and Dr Google knows too much for his and your own good :playful:!

Last nights walk a deer was barking in the not too far distance, and I was expecting him to race off towards the sound, but it was a still night and perhaps it was just far enough away for him not to bother.......it wouldn't have been worth it (more like he wouldn't have had a chance in catching...

@chris85 type 1 that sounds like a good night actually although you/we have no idea what happened between 3am and this this morning, it is possible you did hypo and the 8.7 was as a result of a liver dump - a libre or cgm would show this though - defo ask about the libre at your next appointment...

Morning all, I've been steadily in range since about mid morning yesterday - no post lunch 'hump', tea/dinner/supper the same, and no evening dog walk crash either (although I did have to 'work' at that ;)) Just need to get my breakfast pre-bolus timing sorted - have a feeling 15-20mins is too...

@chris85 type 1 when your body is use to running at higher levels you can get that hypo feeling at normal levels - conversely always being at the low end of normal you can loose your hypo awareness and usually running at slightly higher than normal for a week or 2 brings them back. the trick is...

@chris85 type 1 the meter won't work out your carbs, but the dafne course will set you on the right track, start guessing from now and then once you've eaten and aren't hungry you can take some time to really work out the carbs, once you get the 'idea' you'll be amazed at how well your gut...

Morning all, judging by all the posts late last night many of you aren't going to be up and about for a bit! @chris85 type 1 maths isn't a barrier any more, do the dafne course get your meter set up with your correct bolus calculations and correction factor and you'll see an improvement - you...
