I know they are also made in England and also N.Ireland (I think), I read somewhere that a UK warehouse where NHS stock is stored was flood damaged (probably further up this thread! LOL o_O )

I spent the weekend enjoying my birthday and come back to the forum to read the news of us loosing some very 'talented' T1s - what happened?!?!? :meh: crying at the banning of my 'twin bro' as well as Kim and Loopercat leaving of their own choice. BGs have been some what non-ideal :p but I've...

It's results like that that make you think your meter is on the blink! Well done! A good steady night for me, been in range since 5pm yesterday, which I take quite readily considering the mountain ranges I created in the previous 48hrs and on top of having pizza last night (win win).

@karen8967 I'd argue the fact your need for a pump hasn't gone away, and it's not your fault you do not suit the omnipod, they must have a 'spare' tubey pump for you to at least try - what a waste if you can't change pumps! BGs have been ok ish - over indulged in a pasta dish last night and...

    My hba1c is bad

Do you have any hypos at all? Do you change your basal settings on your pump at all? if you're going high over night then change your basal rates covering that period then at least hopefully you'll be starting the day on a good number and work from there. I'll +1 @Juicyj comment about...

T1, Dapagliflozin, weight loss, DKA risk

Hi @WJP1055 I see you're an old timer when it comes to T1D and it sounds as though you're doing pretty well! Sorry I've no idea regarding dapagliflozin but what I would like to ask is how many carbs is 'relatively low carb'? And what do you attribute to the recent drop in hba1c? (well done btw)

    “Spikes” and Recovery

Poor ol' @Mike97 has been a member of the forum for a month and he's already receiving death threats :hilarious: Now if Mike had followed the advice usually given out, test just before a meal and 2hrs after first bite, he'd be unaware of the spike to 10 - how many others are eating 'weetabix'...

Morning all, Slight blip in the graph yesterday evening with a high of 15 and I've been doing so well staying in range most of the time with just minor excursions out the target zone recently - but I'll know next time when I have a similar evening.

Type 1. Just diagnosed. Still in hospital bed.

Hi Dave, and welcome. As you're in hospital I presume you were in or very near to DKA which will have knocked you for 6 anyway let alone the diagnosis - it's not the end of the world - far from it! If you're browsing the forum and picking up hints and tip just be aware that everyones diabetes is...

Good morning all, hope you've all weathered storm Brendan safely - and he's still hanging around today so stay safe. Wasn't much joy taking the dog for a walk yesterday evening, at least I timed it in between downpours. Changed sensor last night, woke to a scan of 9.9 on the up, BG of 10.6 and...

    Morning all, BGs have been good recently, and I was just checking my averages on the libre reader, so for the last 7 days it's 6.7, 14 days it's 8.4, 30 days it's 9.0 and 90 days 8.7. Time in target - 7 days=9% below, 83% in, 8% above, 14 days = 5%,69%, 26%, 30 days =4%,61%, 35% 90 days =5%,64%...

2 Months in and still no control

If you're not sure about anything ring your DSN in the first instance. You're learning that everyday is different, doubly so when in the honeymoon phase:sorry:, and yes doing dafne in that phase is pretty pointless. Has anyone suggested reading 'Think like a pancreas' ? (you can find it on...
