XDrip + Samsung Galaxy Active Watch

You won't be able to use xdrip+ on any Galaxy watch as they use their own Tizen OS. You need a watch that uses wear OS. I have a ticwatch which is perfect for the job.

    Tricking the system? Gestational diabetes?

If you are diagnosed type 2, you would generally go low carb to go into remission. So I don't see any problem in eating to this diet and monitoring levels to ensure they never reach that level before it happens. If you are diagnosed type 2 you would probably end up doing the same thing and with...

Tips for learning to drive with type 1

Make sure your instructor knows your condition. Test regularly. Have a snack before starting, you would rather be a little on the high side than going low whilst driving. If you can, use CGM with alarms to alert you if it starts dropping low before it goes too low.

    Scar tissue build up?

I've uploaded this in the past. This is from the FIASP tests. It is quite significant. I generally find that if I inject in the arms or abdomen, most of the insulin is absorbed by 2 hours, in the leg its around 3 hours. So fast acting carbs I always inject in the abdomen or arms, for low carb...

    Scar tissue build up?

Insulin does not act quicker in the thigh compared to belly in general. Generally the fastest acting is the abdomen (unless you use love handles), then arms, then legs, then buttocks.

    Calf muscle pain?

If you have got active and started exercising more than you were before. You will be feeling pain if you don't leave enough time to rest and adjust. May feel almost like shin splints. Try different exercises and return to it in a week or so.

    Type 1 diabetic

Its very rare to be diagnosed with type 1 at that age. Are you sure you're not type 2 insulin dependent? Also do you not take a fast acting insulin or are you only taking Lantus?

    Scar tissue build up?

Both, you need to rotate around the area and around injection sites. If you constantly inject around the belly button you naturally have less space to inject and will be injecting in the same place more often. You need to rotate around legs, stomach, arms and buttocks as much as possible. Its...

    Scar tissue build up?

I have the same issue, years of injecting in my stomach and bad practice of reusing needles led to lipohypertrophy. I lost a lot of weight and was quite lean but it was still very visible. The fat deposits take years to go if at all I was told (only real solution is liposuction). I've not...

Type 1 Fiasp Insulin acting like water?

I've been using FIASP for around a year now, with Tresiba for the last 6 months or so. I also found that sometimes its like injecting water. However I have noticed that this is generally when its been in my pocket for a while, also noticed it is more susceptible to heat and goes off very quick...

    Freestyle Libre sensor unavailable

I had this before. Took it to boots and got it in no time. Some of the pharmacies don't know what they are so email Abbot to request them and don't follow up which ends up taking weeks. I'd ask them for the prescription and take it elsewhere.

I've had no carbs but have high bloods

Near enough everything has some carbs in it. Even if its small amounts. Protein and fats can also have an affect on blood sugar levels - just not as sharp.

    Flying with pump

I got my letter from the GP, although it was a few years ago now. I was never charged for it. Although I don't use a pump I've never been asked for any proof for the medication I carry.

Does anybody else inject in the morning without food?

If I exercised without food it could easily hit double figures. Its a lot better now I'm on Tresiba though, and it also near enough eradicated my night time hypo's.

    Am I understanding this correctly?

hba1c of 4-5.6% is approximately an average blood glucose level of between 3.8-6.3 mmol/L. If the hba1c is above 6.5% (~average blood glucose level of 7.8 mmol/L) then they diagnose you with diabetes. In between these levels they classify as pre-diabetic. In general you should try and stay...

    Tresiba diarrhoea & stomach cramps

I switched from Lantus to Tresiba and had no such issues. Been using it for over 6 months. Could it be coincidental? Or maybe Tresiba doesn't sit well with your body. Those side effects are probably listed for most insulins.

Does anybody else inject in the morning without food?

Its probably foot on the floor phenomena. Basically your body gets ready after waking up by releasing energy which increases the BS levels. Used to happen a lot with me when I was on Lantus, now not so much I switched to Tresiba, but will still increase if I do certain exercises without food.

Discussion Is there any watch can work with my miaomiao/libre standalone.

I believe the only app that allows this (apart from Sony watch 3 -through NFC) is Xdrip, but that is only available on android. Personally I have it and the ticwatch pro, but never got it to work standalone.

Type 1 Serious spikes after 3hrs... HELP :(

Highs after 3/4 hours can be for a number of reasons. Firstly glucose release from protein generally peaks around 3-5 hours, so if its high in protein that will cause a spike. Foods or meals high in fat will cause delayed absorption, therefore cheese or cakes which may also be high in fats, will...

    Bodybuilding with T1?

You can do anything, just monitor and BSL regularly and see how they are affected. The diabetic muscle and fitness website by Phil Graham, his book and the facebook group have a wealth of information on. Loads of diabetics with six packs, competing and bodybuilding. The info along with this...
