    Too Much Fish

Apologies if it seems to have gone off track. The OP originally posed the question on this thread, which then got made into it's own thread, presumably by a moderator, but not all posts transferred with it. I replied to the post still left here. Perhaps a moderator could shift the posts?

    Can I drink milk?

Thanks for posting the link to The Dairy Council website, I never can find it when I want it. Upon reading it just now, it agrees with my previous post ie 200ml semi-skimmed milk = 9.7g CHO. Can you explain how you interpret this site's figures differently, please? I do feel it is important to...

    Can I drink milk?

A 200ml serving of semi-skimmed milk is reported by Tesco's as containing 9.6g CHO. Still well within workable limits whence counting carbs. Just for information.

    Can I drink milk?

Keep drinking it. I'm a paid up advocate for milk, but only up to a maximum of 1pint a day.

Anyone else out there experiencing ICP

Hello @jcummings68 You haven't said if you have consulted your GP about this problem? If you haven't already, then I suggest you see them urgently. There's a very small chance this could be a medical emergency. Have you seen an optician within the last year? Best wishes for a speedy resolution.

Hypos Seem To Stop Me Coughing

@Dodo Just a thought, but if you're taking an ACE inhibitor, a pill which ends in 'pril' like perindopril, then the cough could be due to that. Then, when you have a hypo, it may temporarily disrupt bradykinin which causes the cough. When it's all over you're back to normal with the cough. I'm...

    Type 2 Numbness in toes

@eascusa By the use of your terminology I'm wondering if you live somewhere apart from the UK? If yes, then the checks, and the timing of, need to be determined at a local level. Here is this sites info http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes-complications/screening-for-diabetic-complications.html...

Even Artificially Sweetened Fizzy Drinks Increase The Risk

Sadly Corona closed down a number of years ago. Always liked them, probably due to returns policy rather than the drink! Factory was in my home city, in a prominent position too. Behind it was the driving test centre... I visited there a good few times :) Seems today's a day for very differing...

Type 1 Getting rid of a cold

I think 4 weeks is on the longer side of normal for a cold. Your previous medical history should guide you in your decision, but... I would agree with you in contacting GP now for an evaluation, just in case you have a superinfection maybe of a sinus.

    Type1. Struggling with Depression

Tryptophan can be bought OTC as a dietary supplement. It can interact with drugs, such as MAOI's and SSRI's, to cause the dangerous condition of Serotonin Syndrome. I would advise great caution from reading this thread, in case you begin taking an SSRI. I feel you need to mull this over with a...

The new Type 1 Comic Book - for the younger newly diagnosed

I think it's lovely, and I hope it is just the start. I think it's well thought through, caught unawares by Mr Stern having T1! It's a most useful resource. I too, think their will be a future storyline with a female lead. Would I encourage my children to read it? Unreservedly yes, boys and...

    Alternative con artists

@Jaylee You might find 'the muco-ciliary escalator' assistive to lessen the drowning.:) Of course, it could be easily damaged or overpowered. Seriously, I too am interested in the necroscopic report of long term 'vapours,' I think it may be very interesting.

Want your opinion to help shape future Diabetes.co.uk education programs?

Survey completed. Feedback as follows: The survey appears to be very weighted towards the food side of things?? This isn't clear in your introductory post. This begs the question exactly what your education program is intending to cover, I didn't get a feel for the totality of it from the...
