Does anyone go full term with t1?

@-Artemis- Yes it is definitely possible to go full term with type 1! I did it and would do it again in a heartbeat, When I was pregnant I did a lot of research on risk and facts and figures for type 1 pregnancies and couldn't really find anything that was convincing me to get induced at 37...

    Question about inductions

@4lgd - I'd just like to throw some advice in - now I am a first timer so there might be others more experienced than me in having babies, BUT I experienced exactly the same as you did and got told that I'd be induced between 37 and 38 weeks and initially there seemed to be no conversation about...

One for the ladies! What was your hba1c when you got pregnant?

Sorry I only do old numbers and my hba1c was 6 when I went through my 3rd IVF cycle. I'm 40+1 now and was in 5.5 - 5.8 all through my pregnancy with the help of my pump and libre. Good luck everyone! xx

    Induction or planned c section

@Finley02 Don't feel deflated to start with. I had the same thought process as you did to start with and the more I researched the more I wasn't keen on being induced. With the support of my amazing obs I am now 39+3 and still looking at going natural and spontaneous like any other "normal"...

    Induction - do I have a choice?

But as far as I am aware that can be monitored @1Sarah1? And to be fair I heard that as well but as long as my obs tells me she is happy for me to do it all naturally then that's okay for me. If she said I'd need to be induced I'd ask her to show me the scientific evidence showing the reasons...

    Induction - do I have a choice?

@ArtemisBow - I was in the same situation last week when I planned to enquire at my antenatal clinic whether or not I could get around induction in any way. My diabetes has been very well controlled all pregnancy long (I was 27+4 last week when I went) and the baby sits around the 50th...

    What can I expect?!

We were nervous before our first appointment too! But once you get going time will fly by I promise, it did for us! What clinic is your appointment with if you don't mind me asking?

    What can I expect?!

@RoseofSharon - just wanted to wish you all the best and good luck! As others said we obviously don't know what treatment they come up with for your fertility issues but once you have an idea I will be more than happy to help if I can. I am Type 1 and on a pump and have just been through 4 years...

    Starting IVF in 3 Weeks

:) Thanks very much @kazC! I am but at the same time I'm trying to not get carried away as we have been at this point before (and then unfortunately lost our baby at 6 weeks :(). We have our first scan on 22nd Dec so hopefully that'll make it the best Christmas ever. We're with CARE in...

    Starting IVF in 3 Weeks

@kazC Exciting times ahead for you - I have had 3 cycles of IVF this year and was terrified before starting the first one. With hindsight I have to say I have no idea what I was so scared of - the drugs were okay and didn't cause me too many side effects and I was very well looked after all the...

    IVF and trying to conceive

Thanks girls. You're right - 2 unsuccessful cycles do take their toll and I need a little break now. Time's a healer they say though and my little baby cat is helpful too! xxx

    IVF and trying to conceive

Thanks for asking. It didn't go well unfortunately and I started bleeding on Sunday night so I knew that I'd get a BFN on test day yesterday. I was sort of prepared for it but it was nevertheless awful knowing it's officially over for us this round :(. I am looking into getting more tests done...

    IVF and trying to conceive

Thanks, I'm feeling fine - no different to before my transfer so we'll see what happens. Re-blood sugars: I also think the closer you are to non-diabetic levels the better, not just for IVF and ttc but generally. If you're really not happy with your clinic do you have the possibility to change...

    IVF and trying to conceive

Hi all! Just wanted to say hi really - I am a Type 1 diabetic for almost 36 years already and have just had my embryo transfer for my 2nd IVF cycle. Hubby and I were trying for ages and everybody always blamed my weight until I got the referral to our IVF clinic (I had to lose 2.5std to get...
