    Diabetes 1 course

Hi, I have the subscription app, think it was £35 for one year, it wasn't cheap but I love it. The other option is the book which gives as much information as the subscribed app, you can buy from Amazon @ £13.99 but it is bulky to carry if you are out & about.

    Omnipod Patches Help!

Hi, I've been using omnipod since March. A couple did come loose in the summer when the temperature was at its highest. I use skin prep by smith&nephew, £14.99 for 50 from Amazon. Wipe the area that you are applying the pod 2, it's makes the skin tacky and I have had no problems since using it...

    Covid

Hi, I am also type 1 & had covid just over a year ago. Best advice I can give is to make sure you follow your sick day rules & take medication that you would normally take for flu/cold. Keep your fluids up & check your BG regularly. If levels are high check for ketones. I found my BG had...

    Post pregnancy insulin resistance

Hi, my last pregnancy was 20 years ago but I do remember my background insulin needs returning to pre-pregnancy within weeks rather than months. Maybe be best to call your diabetes team for clarification as it may well be that either a.m. and p.m. doses need upping or one or the other. I've...

New podder and having a bit of a meltdown

Thanks Stew, I don't think it's fat as low fat bread roll & think hot dogs are low fat. Can't seem to get to the bottom of it. With high fat/high protein I use 60/40 extended bolus for either 1 or 1.5 hours. Sharon B said to start with the 60/40 & it does work for me. Give it a go.
