Cgm monitoring or blood glucose monitoring

I mainly use CGM but if I've changed the sensor within last 24 hours I still check using finger prick. Readings within first 24 hours can be quite a bit out.

    I’m Pregnant!

Congrats @Moosh97. I have had two successful pregnancies. We are all different but you will probably find you need less insulin in the first trimester but then your needs will change & you'll gradually need more insulin. You will need to ensure that you are checking your BG constantly...

    Non Cardio Exercise

I'm looking forward to giving it a go, have heard that the young coach is a bit of a contortionist, I'll be in agony, lol.

    Non Cardio Exercise

Thanks Nicole, will go with the 45% reduction initially for the LBT session, see how it goes & adjust for next time if need be. Don't think it's hot yoga but will reduce insulin a bit. Let's see if I can actually stand up or move in the next few days, lol. Thanks for your support. PS take my hat...

    Non Cardio Exercise

This is good to know. I know I'll just need to give it a go, just didn't want to reduce insulin too much & end up with massive high leaving me feeling rotten. Thanks for info.

    Non Cardio Exercise

Hi everyone, I bit the bullet last week & joined a gym. I've has 2 cardio exercise classes, reduced insulin via pump by 45%, one class more successful than the other; one non hypo & one hypo. I'm wanting to try a thighs, bums & tums toning class & a yoga class next. Does anyone have experience...

    Needle phobia and libre

I was exactly the same, hand sweats & anxious. Once I did the first one & realised it was a breeze the fear melted. Go on, you know you can do it!

New to this and feeling overwhelmed

Morning Andrew, I was diagnosed at 21 and am now 52 but still remember the shock of diagnosis. Please do not be hard on yourself (from one person who learned through experience). Just now for you is just a period of settling down & getting to know your bodies needs. With regards to the food...

    Things You Wish You Knew

I know it's personal to each & everyone of us but I'm curious to know what others have set as their upper range limit?

    Things You Wish You Knew

Hi, I had never used a pump b4 starting omnipod dash in March this year. You may not encounter this but these are some of the niggles I experienced: It took me a few months before getting the correct basal rates set up for different activities but fantastic to use now, much less hypos. The pod...

    Type 1 Insulin pump

Definitely worth all the effort it needs to get the dosages correct. The specialist team will indicate one month to get there but it takes much longer. I'd say 4-6 months before I was comfortable with settings, a lot less hypos as can set temporary basal when more active. I'll be honest I...

Libre 2 sensor - issues with alarms

Hi, think I might have found solution. Time will tell as just tried it but seems OK so far. Swipe down on your home screen, (flight mode torch, Bluetooth, etc) press on location, then select libre app & grant permission. Fingers x'd

    Blood sugar Control

Hi, have you tried a carb free day to check basal rates? Is it one basal injection or do you split it a.m. & p.m.? I would contact the pump nurse to see if they can provide alternative guidance.

    Omnipod dash/libre 2

Hiya, I've only been using the pump since March so my first experience. Initially I despised it, so much to think about & adjust to but now I'm OK with it. Certainly aspects of it could be improved. I have a bad cold just now which has affected my BG readings but no where to record on the PDM...
