Why do I keep going and eating carbs......

It's an addiction. My strategy (although I sometimes succumb outside the house) is to have 'alternative treats.' When I get cravings I head for my pork scratching/ soft cheese with 2 or 3 mini cheddar biscuits or some dry roasted peanuts. The other thing I do is try to balance out a carb...

That's a great reduction. But with your success and motivation you could go from pre-diabetic levels to non diabetic levels. Could you give us an idea of your typical carb intake? What you might eat in a normal day?

I'm hardly on at the moment as I have to have a verification code sent to my email address before I can even like or write a comment. Maybe if I delete and reinstall the app?

    Forum Access issues

I'm so so angry I'm only able to access the forum by jumping through hoops and going through a verification process each time I want to comment. I love this forum - it saved my life as I have said a few times. I reversed my diabetes thanks to the members here but if I'd been diagnosed 6 months...

    Five years after Newcastle diet

Yes, a good thread that I relate to as I feel my hba1c has been heading in the wrong direction even tho it's still at non- diabetic levels and my GP cannot understand my concern. I intend to start testing again and have purchased 3 pots of strips. My other problem is trouble getting on the app...

I am on a good old fashioned pc right now and it certainly appears to be the case that the app is very limited in comparison. This is unfortunate for me as I'm usually on the go....

Is a reading of 9-9.5 too high?

The higher the reading the harder the body (beta cells) have to work. If you don't work your body too hard you will get more out of it [emoji106]

Is a reading of 9-9.5 too high?

That would be the same for me roughly too. However, if I have an omelette my reading will barely rise.

Is a reading of 9-9.5 too high?

That's too high. I threw my weetabix away after 30 years and no longer miss them. Eggs, bacon and sausages are my new friends. Lost 4 stone and reversed my diabetes.

Not been on for ages but there appears to be ads everywhere. Finding it difficult to navigate or 'like' posts. I'm on an iPhone currently but will try on the iPad later....
