    I took metformin SR for about 8 weeks but ditched it due to loose bowels combined with good blood sugar levels with a LCHF lifestyle. I think - where possible- diet and exercise can blow any pill out of the water and this has been backed up scientifically.

    That's the thing for me - it often seems that the ND is a daily struggle whereas I love my food and only really struggle with Italian restaurants and one or two others which are easily avoided. Good luck though!

    Obesity is not hereditary. Although it's possible eating/cooking habits are passed on.

    Some will say that bananas are the devils work but I love them. I wouldn't eat them every day but I have one occasionally and usually just before I hit the gym so I can work off the carbs that way.
