What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

For tea tonight I used up a few things from the fridge and made a rather scruffy-looking bacon, mushroom and cheese omelette, and served it with some garden peas. I tried to get its best side, but it didn't actually have one. Regardless, it was lovely!

I didn't make it @LivingLightly, it just came with the lamb shank. But it was still very nice.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

For tea tonight I had a lamb shank in a red wine gravy, steamed runner beans, and a few (starch-resistant) Maris Pipers roasted in coconut oil.

That cheese looks lovely. Happy birthday, @shelley262.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

As it's still quite warm today, I thought I'd have a (tinned) red salmon salad.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I tried that a couple of times (mixing the cheese in with the egg). Though I prefer melting the cheese on top. That looks attractive, mind.

My lunch: fried bacon and eggs roughly scrambled in the residual bacon fat with a knob of butter.

    Types of sugar in food

I love it. I eat it right out of the tub like ice cream. It's certainly filling.

    Types of sugar in food

You need to check on the carbohydrate values as well. As they turn into glucose in your body too. A recommended way is to check your blood glucose just before eating and then two hours later. If the rise is more than 2, then you need to look at the carbs and sugars and cut back on them for the...

Me neither. It's probably food colouring. I'll ask next time I'm there and let you know.

I've never tried that. That's a new idea for me.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Another Friday, another takeaway, and another chicken tikka with a side salad. At least I didn't need any rice! It was lovely, and I *don't* have a takeaway every Friday.

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

I've been reading this thread, although not posting here much. I'm pretty much the same as some of you; up and down a pound each week over the last couple of months or so... :(

    Chocolate

I'd recommend these two. The Aldi one is more "chocolatey" whereas the Tesco one tastes faintly of notes of vanilla. They're both very nice.

On what felt like the hottest day of the year so far, here at least, I thought I'd do a prawn salad for my tea.

Why would the mushrooms try to escape from such a lovely-looking omelette!? I'm just having a steak. That's all. It expires today. And I'm not very hungry.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I've never seen this. I normally buy the 85% stuff from Aldi, which is nice. But I wouldn't mind trying a higher percentage.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today was a cheap Sunday lunch, just using stuff up that was in the fridge - bacon, mushrooms and garden peas.

Yesterday, I marinated some chicken breast in garlic, ginger, Greek yoghurt, lemon juice, and a selection of spices, in an attempt to make chicken tikka, which I cooked today. Whereas it wasn't as nice as the takeaway I had recently, it was still very nice.
