Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Definitely part of the equation. There can be so many factors that affect our blood glucose. So it can be difficult to actually zero in on the cause(s). Stress caused my diagnosis so I know it's a major contributor to my levels.

Thanks for your positive thoughts. I've been riding this valley for nearly five years now. It was undoubtably the stress in the very deep part near the beginning that caused my diagnosis! There has been deeper and shallower parts since. Just seems to be a particularly deep and treacherous...

Sounds good to me. I was considering whether we should start a thread for the fat fast and invite others to join in? We could pre-empt with preparatory discussion - like what we're aiming for and proposing meal choices, etc Good list of measurements - I can't do blood pressure and my health is...

Not particularly fussy - that typed I would prefer to do the 3 day fat fast over a week day, i.e. start Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Should we consider creating a three day menu? What preparation should we do?

Virtual low carb party? I'm in for the next fat fast in August BTW! Perhaps have a low carb virtual party before and a carb backload party after the fat fast? @Baruney & @Merrylizard1314 are we starting a pre Fat Fast thread to plan and discuss preparation?

It's absolutely lovely if thinly smeared on a thin slice of cheddar cheese! I've also placed a blob on top of grated cheese and grilled it to make cheese and marmite crisps. Can't beat marmite by the teaspoonful - for me the only thing to put with it is more marmite! :D

If they didn't test then how would they know the result they would get if they did test would indicate that they shouldn't test? It's a choice and if someone chooses to test then that is their right and who are you to judge otherwise? You're free to have that opinion and I will defend your...

When I was on my domestic science A Level course (only lad in the class ;) ). I was taught that the word diet is misused in society. Diet is what you eat - so everyone who eats is on a diet and if you don't eat you're fasting. Really, the word diet should be qualified, for example "Low fat...
