Yeouch! I know bad migraine but, thankfully, never experienced a cluster headache. Phew! I know of people that have had them and know they're not at all nice - think of the pain of the worst migraine and then mutiply by infinity! I hope you get it resolved soon.

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.5 mmol / L this morning. 5.4 mmol / L at bed time. Weird sleep which started after midnight. No bed time food. Test this morning around the time my dawn phenomenon occurs. Better in the 6s than 7s but, would prefer to be in the 5s. See how I go today and what tomorrow brings.

Don't quote me on this but, I'd suggest it wasn't a Liver dump. Perhaps an allergic reaction to the now "infamous" Lidl (other brands are available) roll? ;) P.S. I'm not a 'nan' nor a 'naan' nor a 'narn' LOL

It's very rare but, still possible to have a hypo caused by metformin. What was your Blood Glucose on going to bed and did you test when you woke in that "Tropical shower?"

Thank you both! Luckily, I fell asleep and kept my eyes closed. Feel significantly better - just a slowly fading headache now. Blood glucose has stayed same at 6.8 mmol / L but, that's to be expected?!

6.8 mmol / L this morning. 5.8 mmol / L at bed time. Very intermittent sleep ending in severe light sensitive migraine. Hopefully, it'll pass quick?!

7.2 mmol / L this morning. 6.8 mmol / L at bed time. Bed at around midnight and up again after 9 hours. 9 hours such luxury! I suspect it was too long as woke up and was still cream crackered!

Which one? No it doesn't help or No I don't have to hand my medical exemption certificate back?

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Actually, the NHS website states "Medical exemption certificates are issued on application to people who have: diabetes mellitus, except where treatment is by diet alone." Hope that helps. <addendum> I got my certificate at diagnosis when I was prescribed Metformin. The certificates are...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Yeah, but, as usual the dawn phenomenon is not set in stone time wise - well for me it doesn't seem to be! I have a rather irregular wake time and bed time so comment about that as I need to consider it when analysing my morning blood glucose readings. I deally, I'd like to test at a regular...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.3 mmol / L this morning. 4.4 mmol / L at bed time. Didn't sleep that well and morning test was late so, more than likely while cresting the wave of my dawn phenomenon. That small piece of homemade white chocolate cheesecake probably didn't help either! ;)
