    Freestyle Libre Query

It doesn't cause me any problems, but I would suggest having a relaxed limp arm resting against something while applying it. This is what my current placement looks like, and no pain or problems.

    Freestyle Libre Query

My movement is completely unrestricted, no problems at all doing whatever exercise. A lot of people seem to be having troubles with it falling off or getting caught on things, but that has never happened to me. I suspect placement has something to do with it, I always place mine on the inner arm...

    Insanity Vs T1

If by same thing you mean surprise you and ruin your day then yes.

    Type 1'stars R Us

Like @Mel dCP I limit my posts and try to avoid being, well, me, when I post on here because if I did I would almost definitely get banned pretty quickly, and I stay away completely from sections and topics I have nothing to contribute to. That said, all these seemingly militant low carbers seem...

    Type 1'stars R Us

I stay away from the type 2 section completely, and sections that don't concern or interest me in any way really so I'm not aware of the discussion, but how can it possibly be controversial to suggest someone eating a pear?

    Going It Alone

My endocrinologist has so far given good and based on results accurate advise in terms of minor tweaks in basal and the like, but she's listed as diabetes/endocrinology on the consultant page, no idea if that's standard or not.

Hot Weather And Storing Insulin While On Holiday

Can't believe I've never heard of this before, that looks incredible. Think I'll order some!

    Going It Alone

Speaking as a type 1, it has always been a collaboration between me and whoever I'm seeing at the time where we eventually settle for what I want to do that doesn't clash too much with what they feel is the right thing to do. I've never had anyone try to force any particular diet or medication...

    Levemir Split Doses

3 at 10ish PM and 15 at 10ish AM, times will vary a bit depending on what I happen to be doing(i.e in a meeting or something) but that's how I do it and it works pretty well.

Anyone Had This Happen With Their Libre?

It's a rare occurrence, but yeah every now and then it'll lose a few intervals of data.

    What Is Over 5

Hard to keep track of I would imagine, suspect plenty of people who did have a hypo that caused an accident would claim otherwise or that it just wasn't documented as one.

Public Health England is reviewing the dietary advice conveyed in the "eatwell plate" -

That was pretty much what I was getting at with my chicken nuggets comment. Diet is just one(albeit big) part of it all, not to mention different sports require different things in terms of how your body should be trained etc.

Usain Bolt ate chicken nuggets during the 08 Olympics, didn't do him much harm did it. ;)

    About Me

How and what are you eating? I'm not gonna try and push a particular diet or anything, but understanding what you eat is key.

    What Is Over 5

Disclaimer: I don't drive. If there is a lower limit to what your level must be, surely there should be an upper limit as well, since high blood sugar will have a huge impact on your driving ability as well? Blurry vision, lethargy etc, that is.

    Historic Hba1c - Consistency Achieved :)

Incredible what a life changer the Libre is isn't it, I learned more about myself from using it for just a few months than I did in 14 years as a diabetic including all the meetings and explanations from various specialists etc. Me being of the extremely high metabolism kind, I've never...

Ai And Radar Technology Could Transform Blood Glucose Monitoring

I wonder if this(as in something similar) is what Apple have been working on in their alleged work on blood glucose monitoring in their watches. If this works, it'll be a gigantic step in health monitoring in general, not just us diabetics.

    Type 1 And Smoking Cannibis

Based on these threads it seems to be no problems apart from munchies, but I have zero experience with it myself so I may very well be wrong. https://www.reddit.com/r/Marijuana/comments/3wfpa6/can_a_type_1_diabetic_smoke_weed/...

    Heart Rate

Well heat is literally movement, so your heart rate will almost certainly be higher, even if subtly, when it's warmer. Blood sugar level can also temporarily increase heart rate, speaking for myself if I feel my heart is beating faster than normal it's usually an indicator that my blood sugar is...
