    Statin and blood glucose increase.

I had exactly the same problem, on the same statin as you. My GP too denied any link so I stopped taking them after a fortnight and sent my team a message. Within 48hrs I was back to normal They then admitted that this is listed as a side effect. There are other statins. Some are fat soluble and...

    Am I Type 1 or Type 2

Hi My nurse tells me the honeymoon period can often last 6 years. I am 4 years in and am still in honeymoon phase. It’s normal to see an initial improvement at the beginning when starting on insulin and I too have much better control when eating low carb. Walking and the weather really effect me...

Care sen metre error 4 message -

I made the same errors at the beginning not enough blood, too much, strip at the wrong angle and too much directly on top rather than letting the strip ‘draw up’ the drop of blood. Think I watched a good video on YouTube in the end. You will soon get the hang of it.

    Neropathy or Sciatica

Would it be worth an appointment with a physiotherapist? I would have thought they would be able to rule sciatica or other trapped nerve in or out.

    Insulated travel bags

We had a cooler box that you connected to the cigarette lighter in the car and kept things pretty cool. I think it was from John Lewis It was about 10 years ago now but it was definitely better than a cool bag with ice packs.

New diabetic nurse appointment this Tuesday

You got through it! And you didn’t lose your temper or hit her!! So extremely well done. I know from experience how hard this must have been. In 6 months time you can always agree to the meds and then not take them Or ask for the lowest dose possible. It’s your choice. My aunt does similar...

    Please help sciencey people

Hi I assume you were borderline type 2? I also take Levo for hypothyroidism. An endocrinologist deals with both diabetes, hypothyroidism and cortisol issues. I would definitely ask to see an endocrinologist and I would keep a food diary, does this happen when the carbs are below 50g a day? Have...
