5 things any newly diagnosed type 1 should know

I was initially diagnosed as T1 but have since been "upgraded" to T3c (lucky me!) I am in constant pain, and when I say pain I mean 10 out of 10. In the last few weeks I've also had many hypoglyceamic events. I wish you the best

    I'm 1.7. Again

That's the problem. I don't know what it feels like either. All I know is that I can't remember a thing. My mum has told be that I refused to take my glucose. The Dr said that my paramedics said I went comatose. I can't remember any of this. Looking back on my messages this was not and is not me...

    I'm 1.7. Again

I'm really sorry about last night. Although I typed what I typed and accept that it was not me. I can't explain it

    I'm 1.7. Again

I've kept a record of my diet since 2019. I think this is why the doctor suddenly decided to change my regime -- I don't know that for sure though. I don't keep a record every day, but most days. Basal they think they have right because I was on fluids only until lunch today and they weren't...

    I'm 1.7. Again

Doctor has just come and seen me. Do these people ever sleep?! I'm off the sliding scale, which was only started today, and going onto doses based on my carb intake. Edit: means another day in hospital to monitor but I guess I can handle that

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

F Far out. Now I'm going to have to sneak out of the hospital ward to try and buy some, I can't stop thinking about it. Hopefully they don't lock me out again

Insulin injection quantity increasing Type 1

I'm technically probably not allowed to post here because I'm type 3c. But my treatment is exactly the same as T1 so... EllieM mentioned injection sites. I think that's a good thing to bring up because if I inject into my legs the insulin doesn't work as well (I was on Clexane for a year and...

Is this pork crackling that you're talking about? If so, that stuff is awesome

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Pickled pork tastes a bit like corned beef. They put white sauce on top of it which I scraped off (oops) but it was actually quite good. Vegies were broccoli, potato, carrots and I think pumpkin (may have been sweet potato though, I can't tell the difference! Orange coloured though). A hospital...

    I'm 1.7. Again

@andbreath thanks for you comment It really is hard for me because I'm normally an easy going person. My comments last night were not normal. I apparently went unconscious in the ambulance. Yes, I go hypo very quickly and your comments about my pancreas having a bit of a rest might be correct...

    Sudden increased insulin sensitivity.

I'm in hospital now and in my case I think that my doses of insulin were simply too high (edit: I'm not saying this is your problem, just simply stating why I think my doses are too high). The "problem" is that they give me more food in hospital than I'd normally eat and were basing my doses on...
