I'm newly diagnosed so I'm not sure if this could mean you're having a hypo but most of the time when I shower, my legs become bright red and feel prickly when the water hits them. I always test my glucose levels after and I'm always having a hypo. Is this a sign? Has anyone else experienced it...

Ah that sucks, if I didn't have a choice and had to use one of those tubey pumps, I would definitely stick to injections. I just don't like the thought of something connected to me as I worry I'd get tangled in it and stuff lol. Good luck with your new pump :)

Welcome to the forum :) I've never been terrified of injections so when I was told I had to inject, it never bothered me. You will get used to it soon and remember, don't inject in the same place as this will cause bumps and deformation! And for hypos, as long as you notice when you're having...

The Freestyle Libre is absolutely amazing (out of experience). The NHS are doing trials and I was fortunate to be on the list for 6 weeks and I'm on my last sensor. It's been so amazing just scanning myself which takes 3 seconds then setting up blood testing strips and having to prick my finger...

I will try and find that book, thank you very much! :) I'm just a little concerned as when I was getting my prescriptions, the woman said that my last appointment was when I fell down the stairs... but my last appointment was actually going in to get blood tests done. :(
